Hi. I'm still fairly new to vaping (Only been using egos and a mod for about two months) and all I've used so far consisted of a few CE4's and vapeonly BCC / Vivi nova tanks. I've read up in many places that carto tanks or attys produce a better flavor / throat hit so I figured I wanted to give it a shot. I'm planning on buying one or the other next week. I'm on a budget so keep in mind I wont be purchasing a high end atty one way or another.

Now I've heard a lot of pros and cons and the few that concern me are the leaking possibility on carto tanks and rebuilding as far as RBA's go. How easy do these tanks leak? Is it that much worse than a Vivi nova? (I have yet to have one leak but heard some people complaining before)

Is rebuilding an RBA really that complicated? From videos I've seen it doesn't seem that bad but many vendors recommend not to purchase an RBA if you're new-ish.

Also, how often do you rebuild, or change a carto in a tank generally? I vape about 3ml a day.

I love this vaping stuff but I can't make up my mind!

Thanks for the help.

Stick with something simple. Even a cartotank has a learning curve, but a rebuildable should be reserved until you have more knowledge on battery safety, an good understanding of ohms and resistance, and done a ton of research on genesis style atomizers. The learning curve for RBA's is significant. There's much more to know than wrapping a wire several times around a piece of steel mesh.

I recommend that you first master using a cartotank. I've written several articles that you should read to help you gain some knowledge if you are interested in trying a cartotank. You can access them by clicking on the link under my avatar. The first one is on juice delivery devices (on page 2) with a basic description on cartomizers and cartotanks. You'll find other articles there pertaining to tank setups, tank reviews, etc.

Best suggestion is not to rush into things. Take small steps, and learn that device properly. RBA's are tricky critters. You have to be careful and fully understand what your doing.
If your doing a carto/tank, just don't buy the cheapest you can find. I will recomend the IB Tank. Price is great for a really high quality product.
