I have been using cartos on my REO since last March and they work well. The only time I have a problem is if the carto is not performing properly. Most of the juices I use are thicker juices, 100% VG or a higher VG than PG blend. I generally get a week out of a carto, then they start tasting bad. With a REO, the entire carto does not need to be filled, as long as it is wet at the bottom where the coils are, they performs fine.

I used tanks before I got my Reos....and they just weren't for me. I constantly battled leaks and juice mishaps when trying to fill them up. I also stopped using cartos since becoming a Reonaut, but I know many Reonauts still use cartos. I'm sure they will be along soon to give some pointers.

I have used both a carto tank and a REO. Can't say much about the leaking issues of the tank. Since I own a Chibi tank and the grommets are on there very tightly. So, I never got any leaks from it. There are advantages and disadvantages to both depending on what you find important.

So it really depends on what you would prefer in the end. Carto tanks main advantage is that when you take a draw. Then it automatically feeds during that time or when the filler material is a bit dry. Which will ensure that you don't have to top it off at all. The downside is that sometimes you have to give it a rest for it to soak up the liquid that's in the tank. This can be a problem if your tasting that it's dry then there's no immediate solution. Meaning that you have to wait and do some primer puffs to get the juice flowing again.

With REO's, the main advantage is that it doesn't have this problem. So, if your feeling like it's tasting dry or there's a decrease in flavor. Then all you have to do is a couple of long dry squonks and your back in action. Which means that you, as a user have complete and utter control of juice that flows into your cartomizer. Feeding it manually can be seen as a negative. Personally, I don't have a problem with this and tend to like this feature compared to a carto tank.

All in all, both are fairly consistent when it comes to performance. I'm going to leave it at that and let you decide on your own on which one you like the most.

Carto tanks are great for tube mods.

A Reo gives you more control over feeding juice to the carto, it's easier to refill a Reo bottle than to refill a carto tank (neither are hard), and Reos are more pocketable than mods using carto tanks.

I've got a tube mod with a carto tank for the novelty of it, but my Reos are the better PV's.

Edit: I don't have to punch or slot any carto I put on my Reo. :p

Cartonaut here and although I've never used a tank i love my cartos on my Reos I also use high or 100% vg most of the time and at HV but I'm getting only around 2-3 days out of 1 before i notice performance drop or tight draw I can't understand how some get a week or more but their so cheap I don't really care

Tanks are the reason I found the REO. I blame it on my vape style. Not only did I have the leaky problem, I have the issue of chain vaping, and the carto not able to replenish the juice fast enough, hence burnt leaky carto tank. Now I am able to actually control how much juice goes into my carto, and have yet to scorch one. I don't miss my baby bottle ( Silver Bullet, matching tank, tip) at all.
