New to Reoville, have only used an RM2 atop my vv. Wondering if one can get the cartotank experience using one atop a Reo. I don't see why not but I haven't experienced.

Is one better off using a 510 atty vs. a carto? Best off just sticking with RDAs?

I imagine that 95% of Reo use is with some sort of rda but don't want to miss out if there is another method worth exploring.

You could - by attaching the carto and eliminating the tank.

When you use a carto with a Reo BF (instead of a carto tank) you get more control over keeping the carto saturated. The very problem you have with cartos - getting liquid in their vent tube and creating a leaking problem - is a non issue when you bottom feed it. You really don't need the tank - at all. Bottom feeding a carto is the only thing that ever made a carto a sane experience for me. They seem to last longer too since you can keep the filler as saturated as you need to or want to.

The advantage of the REO bottle is it replaces a tank to hold liquid. Small amounts of liquid wet the wick as you need. You don't have to mess with a tank to fill juice.

A cartomizer works on a REO. Just get one that has the hole in the bottom, not sealed.

I did my exploring before the RBA's were up and running. Used cartomizers and atomizers. They did work well on the REO. But they were inferior to what the RM2 and Igo-S give me. The taste of the juice and the vapor was lacking.

I still have some atomizers. A couple of my REO's sport a 510 atty. But I don't reach for them much. One is there because it is quick to replace on a seldom used REO.

I say stick to the RM2 or explore other RBA's. Do some reading on what other RBA's Reonauts are using.

To be honest, the RM2 and the Igo-bf that rob sells are fantastic bottom feeder atomizers. If this is your first foray into rebuildable atomizers I would highly recommend getting an RM2. Its the easiest RBA to build on, its cheaper than the cyclones, and has a ceramic deck which will prevent your mod from short circuiting if your coil touches the deck.

I think for a lot of people, myself included, the RM2 satisfies 99% of their vaping needs. I look into getting the high end rebuildables because I have nothing left to fiddle with, and some of us are just trying to get the elusive 100% perfect vape. At that point its more of a hobby than an actual necessity.

EDIT: That being said, the cyclone BF is a fantastic stainless steel atty and should definitely be worth considering. If you get a LP Grand you can even get the Cyclone with AirFlowControl cap to further help dial in your vape.

Thanks SeaNap, I'm actually very familiar with RDA but just moved into Reoville. Have 2 x RM2s and think they're wonderful, very impressed with performace. Have been looking for other RDA that will allow dual coil buils and have AFC as there really is no point in building subohm unless you have the airflow to support it.

I don't see them on the site but I am going to PM Rob and see if he offers replacement topcaps for the RM2s. If he does I'll drill one out and see if that will satisfy my need for more airflow and subohm.

Have been looking for a Cyclone as I have been using a Scar which is the Cyclone clone and have enjoyed it but can only imagine how much nicer the authentic is. The Scar does not fit the Reo VV I have nor will it fit the Grand I just ordered. If I could find a Cyclone with AFC I would buy an LP Grand to go with it.

As others said, there's no need for a carto-tank on a Reo, that's going backwards!

Just get a cartomizer that isn't laser punched in the sides for a tank.

You're in for a disappointment though IMO. No way I can imagine a cartomizer somehow doing it better than an RM2 for anybody's taste. If your especially disliking having to rebuild an RM2 though, I'd still say there's no way a cartomizer will outdo a regular atty. (510/306)

But if your a newer vaper and just won't be satisfied until you try something for yourself, I totally get that. Have at it, you've been warned. All good! :D

Cheers
