I bought a cheap carto tank from the mall and I love it, but I feel like a higher quality one would give me better performance (as with most things) lol. I don't want to spend an extra lot on them, and I would like to get a few of them so I can easily rotate flavors. Suggestions?

Also, I am interested in dripping for flavor tasting (and mainly as something else to do). Do I need special attys for this? I don't think I really understand how this works... Halps?!?

Tanks, that is carto-tanks, are something I've become somewhat aquainted with. A tank is just a reservoir. It either leaks or it doesn't. Beyond that, its basically a matter of whether it fills easy or not, whether it cracks with strong juices in it, and whether its fashionable to the person that intends to use it.

So long as its not a leaker, or a cracker if you vape strong cinnamon type juice, whats going to give you most of the performance difference you're looking for, is the cartos you use in it. When I got my first carto-tank, I loved it, but it had a cheapie carto in it, and switching to the ressurector 1.7 ohm single coil carts made a gigantic difference in taste. I'm a fairly heavy vaper and I'm still using my first of 15 with over a week on it.

As far as dripping, there are many here with ten times or more experience than I have, so I gladly defer to them.

For a carto tank, I strongly recomment the ressurector single coil 1.7 ohm carts, they're amazing.

On edit: Congrats on being off the analogues - you're doing the right thing, and in the long run, you'll most definitely thank yourself for it.

I just started dripping and love it. You do get better flavor this way. Not good when driving though, at least not to me. I liked the rebuildable clearo's tanks. Besides cinnamon, citrus flavors can crack them. You also can get into glass tanks with carto's that are punched. You will get very good flavor from this also.

Yeah, for dripping you need an ATOMIZER. an atomizer is JUST coils wrapped around a short wick.
You drip directly onto the coil cup inside the little atomizer.
There are 510 atomizers that look like short cartomizers without the filling, and there are RBAs aka rebuildables.
The "306" atomizer will also work on a 510 connection battery, which is probably what you have.
All of these are great options. I use 510 atomizers a lot. They are 5 to 10 dollars usually.
Atomizers last a lot longer than cartomizers, but you do have to drip your juice into them every 3-4 hits.

i like dripping attys, but like carto tanks better....the first few weeks i used tanks,i was mad as hell! every day....leak...work...flood...leak it was a nightmare! but after you get them figured out they are amazing! ive really found little to no diffrence in tanks that are plastic....I changed to glass and i think they are great! better cleaner flavor...Also there are alot of cartos....Me i perfer a boge,or ikanvape carto....Im not a smoktech fan...(they gave me trouble) when i got a good one it was great, when i got a bad one it was really really bad! as for a addy...next time you buy some juice, pick a cheap 510 up! if u get juice at mtbaker ever, they are 6 bucks i think and pretty decent...

Any old 510 atty bridged or bridgeless will work fine for dripping. Shouldn't cost you more that $5 each and should last a month +/-. Only other thing you need is a drip tip. I prefer LR attys but I do not have a VV device. If you have VV, and like to vape at higher voltages, stick with standard or higher resistance attys, as the higher voltage can burn out a LR one.

The only time I don't drip is when driving. For that I use a clearo.

As you have already noticed cheap devices give cheap results. Buy a good glass carto tank, good cartos and good attys. For the tank I think the best bang for the buck is IBTanked.

The stainless caps are more expensive but worth it, they will never taint your juice. I would get the standard size as well. Every time you fire your mod it heats the juice, in the shorter tank it won't get heated as many times as it does in a larger tank...I think the flavor stay truer. I also would recommend single coil cartos. The Ikenvape Punched are by far my favorite...

IKV 510 Platinum Punch! Cartomizer STD

When it comes to attys there are a couple I like in 510, the Cisco spec Aero and the HH357...

AERO 510 Bridgeless Atomizer - Avid Vaper
HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper

This gear is more expensive but you tend to get what you pay for...

When I smoked I smoked name brand. Would the el cheapos cigarettes imported from wherever have worked? Yep, but they tasted like crap. I want to enjoy vaping so I spend a couple extra bucks and enjoy the vape rather than just having my nicotine urge repressed while putting up with a bad taste in my mouth.

High quality cartos and attys tend to last a good bit longer as well...

I use to spend $450+ a month on cigarettes, good quality cartos and attys don't even come close to costing that much

Well paying double for 510 just seems a bit much, but here I used to make my own. I only paid 20/month for the tobacco. I was using the 510 (6/ 6 weeks worth) but then moved up to the 9/month 306 anymore and I am going into the red every month. That why I said get what you can afford.
