19mm complete glass tank in standard or XL size.

Included items

1 Set of Stainless Steel Caps with washers and orings installed
1 Glass tube with Caps above installed
1 Thingy
1 3.2ohm (XL or Standard to fit the tube ordered in the dropdown slection above) Smoktech cartomizer with flange and hole. (note, Standard size tanks are being substituted with a 2ohm cartomizer)
1 extra set of orings
1 Black Refilling Drip Tip.
This item is a complete tank ready to lube the oring, insert the included cartomizer using the included refilling drip tip, fill and use.

- It says it uses a flange carto.
- WTH is a "thingy"?
- How do I lube an o ring?

I'm looking for a carto tank that I can use regular cartos with. What I keep seeing requires flanges or doesn't specify.

Thanks,
Ryan

Honestly, I don't think it's impossible to use a non-flange carto in a tank .. I believe the flange is there to help keep the carto from moving around as much .. I don't like the flange units because I prefer to re-fill a carto from the screw in end and it's not possible with a flange ..

You should be able to use a non-flanged carto with most any of the tanks. The flange is just there to keep a carto from sliding down too far. I only know of one that actually has a "key" to it that the flange sits in and it will still work with a non-flanged carto.

You lube an o-ring with a little bit of the juice.

A "Thingy" is a bottle to store your tank or carto/tank in when not in use. It's also a great way to prime your carto/tank. Put the carto/tank (filled with juice) in the "Thingy" and screw the lid on and off about a dozen or more times. You will see a bubble each time, which means juice is feeding into the carto.

You can use non flanged cartomzers in any tank...the length is what you want to worry about. The tanks are going to use either 35mm or 45mm...be sure you get the right size! Also...if you are going to punch your own, do get one that is pre punched so you can use it as a "pattern" for where to locate your first hole. It's not a necessity...but it does help. Since most tanks sold in the major vape retail stores come with prepunched cartos...that won't be a problem to get.

I use non flanged cartos in all my tanks...even the SMOK ones that seem a bit "slippery". They don't leak and work fine.. Might not be so good if you plan to throw it in your pocket attached to your PV however. Don't know though...never tried it.

One solution for tanks that tend to slip and slide is to use a drip tip with a wide base. That helps hold the tank on so it doesn't slide up over the top.

Can you translate the 35mm and 45mm for me? I currently use Boge XXL stainless cartos from vapor god. As far as them slipping, the submarine tanks had the best seal and required the most force for the carto to come out. Either way, the tank will just be for home use where I tend to chain vape and grow weary of constantly topping off my cartos.

I did some previous research on this a couple weeks ago. I second ibtanked.com for a good tank that does not need flanges.

If you look at the pictures on their site, they are shown with flanged cartos.

Thanks for the info all, I was thinking that one could use non flanged cartos but wasn't sure. I already have a punch tool that I purchased along with this POS locking mini tank but haven't punched any cartos.

Skip to the 11:00 mark to check out the forces required to pull the cartos out of various tanks.

True, but they work with non-flanged cartos (I have 3 IBTanked Tanks - Two 25mm and One 19mm) I use them with non-flanged cartos.

The flange does help to keep tanks sliding off the bottom, but are not necessary for functionality.

The measurement is the length of the tube on the carto, not counting the threaded connector. Standard cartos are 35mm, XL cartos are 45mm. I believe the Boge XXL is also 45mm, but since you have some you can measure them to be sure.
Carto tanks that are labeled DCC for Dual Coil Cartomizers are the XL length.
