$22 per cap ... sold individuallyAfter looking at the shop, I see that ss caps are 22$, and tubes are $7. Making a total of $29. But If I were to buy the ss tank its $45. Am I missing something here...?

It's extremely easy to add a fill port to any tank. This is what I do. Hope this helps! Making a Fill Port for a Tank. : Lavacorps - International Vapers Club
I love my SS tank, but it is more difficult to fill (completely) than any other tank design that I have tried. Have you considered making a design with a fill port. Port in tank tube with a stainless steel screw would be great. Even better might be a small syringe port through the cap itself; although it would have to be oversized enough to allow the air to escape while filling.

making up some kind of jig is recommended, as well. Drilling through a rounded piece of stainless steel can be a pain . . . even with a drill press the bit can slide off to the side from the curved surface. I work maintenance in a machine shop, I've beat the heck out of every metal known to man and stainless just plain sucks to work with sometimes ;-)

Absolutely! To me, the key is the tapered hand tap. I have tubes with fill ports that I've used for four months with no fractures at all. Personally, I don't like the big thumb screws because they catch on clothing. The Polypropylene Screws work perfectly. When I first tried this, I used Polycarbonate Screws because they were clear. I got a big surprise when a few days later the heads started breaking off the threads! SS screws work as well but I find the softer Polypropylene screws seem to put less stress on the tube.I may try this if I get sick of trying to fill from the top with the needle bottle tip that I use now. I know the M1A1 tanks have a fracture pattern around their holes which I don't care for. Can it be done without this happening?
