The best I have tried are the Boge 510 cartomizers. A lot of vendors carry them these days. I get mine at PureSmoker.com - USA Electronic Cigarettes & USA Made eLiquid!!!. As far as cartomizers go, those are about the only ones I use now. They have great airflow and (so far) have been really consistent. I have also had decent luck with Bauway and SLB.

It's just my opinion, but the ones I say avoid are the Joye 510 cartomizers (you need a syringe to fill them) and the BE brand (the draw is too tight).

Will 3.0-3.2ohm carto work well on a 650 Ego or do you need like a 900?

The 650 and 900 designation represent miliamp Hours which only tells you how long a battery can last - figure 1 hour for each 100mAh.

But that says nothing about how it performs with regard to vapor and flavor, in combination with an atomizer. That's a different product - wattage. And a 3.0 or 3.2ohm atomizer on a 3.2-3.4 volt battery (underload) is pretty weak wattage - under 3.5 Watts and the best vaping is between 6.0 and 8.5 watts -ymmv. So you'll want something between 1.7 and 2.5 ohms to use with an eGo. The SE Riva runs at 3.7volt underload so you could go a bit higher with that battery.

It really depends on the voltage of your batteries. The stock 510 batteries (3.2v) work best with 2.0-2.5Ω Boge cartomizers. If you have a true 3.7v device (SE Riva or a mod), you can try 2.5-3.2Ω Boge cartos. I do not recommend the 1.5Ω Boge cartomizers as they tend to burn fast.

Boge 2.0Ω can be purchased at LiteCig, Liberty Flights and other vendors.

IkenVape carries their own version of Boge cartomizers (I'm pretty sure they are Boge). My favorite are Premium Platinum 510 cartos and 510 Gold Drip Tip (both 2.5Ω).

For higher voltages (3.7v and up) I recommend the HR Boge--3.0-3.4Ω; again those are widely available.

I don't use them anymore except on the wetbox but I'd go with the CE2 regular size (the XL's had wicking problems) and as low of ohms that you can find for best vapor - they have no filler so you won't get that particular burnt taste.

I saw a post where someone was using cartomizers with a wetbox and I wondered about it. I thought the point of a wetbox was to get the advantages of dripping without actually dripping. I built a modified version of one of these yesterday and in the whole couple hours I've used it with just an atomizer, it's working great. Why would I want to put a cartomizer on it?

Cartomizers are cheaper than atomizers and the Wet Box will keep them...well...wet. You'll be able to vape the cartomizer longer before you need to squeeze more juice into it.

Mickey,

Missy's Wetbox was specifically made for cartomizers only - in fact, the blurb at first was not to use atomizers -one of the reasons for that was that the needle coming up through the batt connection could run into the electrical set up, coil, pot, etc., whereas at the time the carto coils were not in the way.

Then someone tried the Wetbox with an atty and there were mixed results - he shorted out a few in experiments but found some that worked.

Also some cartos - Bloog and Joye started putting the coil right on top of the batt connector - I tried a joye and there was no path for the needle to get into the main compartment of the carto - there is a right turn and then a left turn in the airflow around the coil.

The intent of the wetbox or any of the feeders was not to have the advantages of dripping so much as to have more volume -3ml - of ejuice, so one didn't have to refill cartridges or cartos.

Now the Reo is a different beast - still a bottom feeder but instead of a needle penetrating the center hole through the batt/carto/cart - it just forces the ejuice into the atty or carto chamber with a squeeze and a tube that doesn't interfere with any electrical part/innards, so.... it can be used with an atty (or carto) and would be closer to dripping on an atty but 'from below'.

The CE2 because of the bit of hassle on filling them normally, is a perfect match for the wetbox, imo. No filler and just squeeze to fill.
