Cartomizer empty or worn out??

Here is one I haven't found an answer to anywhere... I have been using cartos since I started like a month ago.

People describe when a carto needs to be filled as low vapor, burnt taste, etc. Well that's exactly how I also see it described when the cartomizer is worn out and needs to be replaced...

So how do people tell when carto is worn out rather than just running empty?

I could put liquid in it and see if I see same symptoms, but is there a way to tell without wasting the liquid by filling a dead carto to see if its just empty?

i think the draw decreases in a carto when it's dying/dead. feels like sucking a wet sponge through a straw. I think. Don't use cartos just heard PBusardo talk about them a hundred times now.

You don't wait for the carto to develop burnt taste to refill it. If you do, the risk is high that it will be too late as the wick will burn once it becomes dry. Once the wick is burnt, you'll never get the burnt taste out of the carto and it is then ruined.

You must frequently "top off" the carto before its too late to do so. Now, this is the trick when using cartos solo. As you can't easily see how much liquid is in the carto at any given time, this becomes a guessing game when you are new to cartos. With experience you'll learn when is the time to add more liquid. Better to do it sooner than later.

To eliminate this process altogether, consider using the carto in a cartotank. This will allow a much higher juice capacity than a carto solo, and since you can see the juice in the tank you can easily see when to refill the tank. The carto will need to be "pre-punched" to allow juice from the tank to enter into the carto. You can refill the tank multiple times with a single carto. When the draw becomes tight, it is then time to replace the carto with a new one.

When they act as if they are flooded, but aren't, it means the coil isn't heating the liquid enough to vaporize it properly and the carto is shot- at least for me.

I could be way off, but as inexpensive as they are, I just replace/hot swap when in doubt...

its cheaper to switch to rebuildables (kayfun and such) you will likely find after a while its less of a hassle
