After picking up my Provari Mini a few days ago with some single coil Smoktech cartomizers (have two 2.0 ohm, one 1.8 ohm and one 2.4 ohm) and using it with the Affinity tank I realized that I get a burnt taste after using the 2.0 ohm with anything past 3.8volts.

Should I be using dual coiled cartomizers to be able to increase the voltage of the Provari without having the burnt taste as well as a higher ohm cartomizer? I've seen the chart that's been posted but when i put the voltage at 3.8 with the 2.0 ohm it gave me a burnt taste pretty badly.

The chart I'm referring to is:

If I need to get dual coiled cartomizers which brand would be recommended?

The burnt taste in cartomizers is mainly from a dry hit (it may not recover from this - sorry) did you make sure you primed the carto with your eliquid before inserting it in your carto tank? you always want to make sure the carto is completely filled with eliquid before inserting it in the tank and that the holes (or slots) are visible in the tank so it can continue to pull eliquid from the tank.

3.8 volts at 2 ohms is 7.2 watts and is in the ideal range for most people (yes, you will see a lot of cloud chasers saying they need 15, 20, 30+ watts but that is for special RDA's with the proper air flow to prevent (not always though) burnt taste)

dual coil will not fix the issue you are having with this carto though but feel free to try one or two

some eliquids cannot stand high wattages either (coffee and chocolate flavors taste burnt to me above 7 watts) but as I always say with flavors - It's subjective

These cartos supposedly don't require priming as I was told and have read while trying to find information about them. Just insert carto into tank, fill tank, put drip tip onto carto take a few short puffs and it's "primed" was what I found out and was told too. They don't have any filler material that most cartos have and I've been vaping it at 3.6 and 3.7 volts which seems to do fine just if I increase the voltage I get a burnt taste.
