Cartomizer "freshness" and proper storage?

Hello all,

I was wondering if it's detrimental (to taste or quality) to store cartomizers in a car glove box, or inside a container in a car. With summer rolling in I wanted to keep some different flavors on me (since my PCC case can only hold 2 flavors) and was worried they would dry up, or not smoke properly if kept in higher temperatures.

Also, once a cartomizer has been used once, is there a recommended time frame to finish smoking it before it goes bad?.

18 months to two years storage life IF it's kept in a cool dry place.

I'd expect it'd get pretty scuzzy pretty quick if left in a glove box in the heat.

wow, I didn't know they could retain their freshness for that long in optimal conditions. and I assume of course that the rubber tips that come on both ends isn't necessary to retain that freshness? (my assumption is that they are purely for sanitary purposes).
