Hey all,

Does anyone know if the cartomizer caps prolong the life of the cartomizer?

Do you remove your carto from the battery and place the caps onto the cartomizer directly after each use?

I tend to leave the carto attached to the battery and use one condom-cap on the free end. Is it even worth it to do this? There are holes on the bottom of the cartomizer that can't be plugged while it is attached to the battery.

I'm just curious if anyone has any knowledge or experience they'd be willing to share.

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't think it would prolong the life of the physical cartomiser itself. It might help the juice but that leads into ...

If you are using the PG carts, this is where it gets fuzzy. PG is a humectant and likes to keep its imediate surroundings at 70% relative humidity. It will manipulate absorbtion and release of available moisture to try to keep its surrounding around that mean. This is highly environment dependant.

I only re-cap ones that I don't vape on a regular basis to prevent dilution. Regular vapes that will be used w/in a day or 2 I don't bother to recap.

I use the cap on the mouthpiece if it goes in my purse or pocket. If I remember to grab my lanyard that day I don't bother to cap the mouthpiece.

HTHs.

well, i always cap mine (both ends) when not in use, but i leave them sit on my couch arm, or on a table... and if cats knock it around i don't want it to get gunky. i'll leave one on my battery sometimes though, and not even cap the mouthpiece end if i know i'm going to be vaping on it regularly. in my carry case at work i'm always re-capping (both ends) whatever carto i'm NOT using though.. i probably don't need to so much as it's just become habit at this point, and i've convinced myself it'll prolong the juice life, lol.
