Cartomizer Question

Hi,
I just tried cartomizers and like them pretty well for my 510. The question is, when do you dispose of them? Are they supposed to stop working? Or do you just toss them after refilling them a few times or ???

Refill 'em til they don't taste right or begin to perform poorly, that's what I do. Some juices I use make it possible to refill several time, others, like Butter Rum, I can only refill 3 times then they taste weird. It just all depends...but yeah, refill them to get them to last longer and toss when need be.

I definitely wouldn't recommend trying a 'dry burn' with a cartomizer. These are prone to burning up inside even when properly filled, and dry burning them will most likely lead to a poor, charred result. ;-)

Use them a few times, wash them out once in between refills if you're up to it, and toss them out when they start to taste funky. That's about all one can do with a carto.

Okay thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'll wash them out and put them in deep storage in case of emergency, LOL, or if I decide to pull my Atom. Cinn. out of storage. I figure I save enough $ on vaping, I don't want to be miserly about this, but then again, I didn't want to be wasteful.

Well, actually, sanfordf, you're the one who convinced me to try cartomizers to begin with, remember? LOL. I got two 5-paks of blank cartomizers, and each one is dedicated to only one flavor. I have these snack-sized ziploc bags that I throw the 30ml bottle and the cartomizer in, so there's never any confusion or guessing. And if I go somewhere, it takes only a few nanoseconds to grab 2 baggies and pocket them. I never "wash" them out, I just blow them out every day. Okay, I guess I'm OK, as I'm goin on 2 mos. w/these, but I vape a diff. flavor everyday, so it's not like they're getting used everyday.

I have these snack-sized ziploc bags that I throw the 30ml bottle and the cartomizer in, so there's never any confusion or guessing. Yep, I use the condom method to refill. I don't jam every bit of juice I can get in them, though, cuz I hate getting juice in my mouth. Being a natural redhead, I have the ultra-sensitive skin that most of us have, and getting juice in my mouth makes my lips burn and puff up, even my tongue burns. I read your review hurriedly, but I'll read it again tomorrow. I'm about due for new cartos. Nice to see you again, too.

Yup, instead of an atomizer and a cart, you just have the cartomizer. Lite Cig USA sells 'em.

Here we go, another dumb question from a newby who hasn't even got his first kit yet! Okay so here goes - does awhole 30 ml vile of liquid fill a cartomizer? And what does it mean to 'dry burn'? Are cartos meant to stay a bit 'wet'? lol...

We get little change from $20 for a pack of 25, yet, we have a hard time with getting stock into this country for vaping. A 30ml bottle of e-liquid will indeed fill a 510 cartomizer...about 30 times. They hold about 1ml...sometimes a bit more.

Never try to 'dry burn' a carto!

We get little change from $20 for a pack of 25, yet, we have a hard time with getting stock into this country for vaping. Oh, dude! That's nasty news. Time to make some mods. Join up w/the other aussies, and maybe you'll find some dudes in your area who are handy with a soldering gun. Get a plan off the ECF modder's forum or off the madvapes one and have a modding party weekend. Throw some tobacco seeds in your garden plot, then buy some flavoring extract. There's an extraction method in the DIY subforum here.
