Cartomizer Question

Hello. First let me apologize in case this has already been asked, but I searched the forum for an hour and couldn't the answer. I purchased some cartomizers for my new ego, and ended up with the metal, round tip ones where the endcap on the mouthpiece is glued in. I have successfully used the condom method to fill them, and they most certainly hold more liquid.
The problem I am having is that after only a few puffs, the mouthpiece on the cartomizer is getting quite hot. Is this normal? If not, is there a way to avoid having it happen? I do enjoy the huge capacity on these units, and believe that overall it would be easier for me to use these, but I cannot figure out why they are getting so hot.
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can provide.

Ya some do get pretty hot.To remove glued hard caps put in boiling water mabey 1 min. or less.used hooked item to pull out.Than you can try to center heating elament,might help from getting hot.

I will definitely give that a try right now. Once the cap is out it will probably be easier to fill too, right? Do the caps go back on easily once that is done?

Yes they fit back in ,easyer to refill yes,use the spin method more juice.

You an also cut the end off of the condom and use it as a mouthpiece/gasket to insulate the heat from your lips.

You can also use a drip tip or even an 801 mouthpiece if you don't mind how thin they are (the 801s).

oops, no it can't I just tried, it will take a 901 cart, the 801 is too big. or a drip tip is really the better way in my opinion.

I really haven't used them this way, but you can cut a tad off the 801 (maybe up to the mark on it) and it will fit tightly on the outside of the carto, whether you take the white cap out or not.

I found it is more of a pain in the ... than is worth it to try to get the cap off. Though I will say that Speedemon's method worked perfectly. Just been using the condom method for the most part, though some of the liquid seems to be getting wasted going up the outside of the carto, and also I seem to get uneven fills between cartos, where some last much longer than others. However, I filled like 20 over the weekend, so now I can just grab a few and go and not have to worry about running out at all during the day.
