I am about to try some cartomizers for several reasons; I have been told they give a more analog-like experience, I am tired of cartridges leaking, and they come in a bunch of cool colors
I have seen adapters so that they will fit other e-cig batteries. I like my RN4072 batts - they last a good long time between chargings. I am assuming that an 801->Kr8 adapter will work because 801s and RN4072s are compatable. Is this correct? Also - is the diameter of a cartomizer the same as the diameter of a penstyle battery? Having a skinny carto and a fat battery or vice versa will send me into OCD fits.
Would I be better off buying a complete KR8 kit? What is the length of a regular, a shorty and an extra long battery? How long does each last between charges?
I have also seen 510 cartomizers. Is there a difference between a KR8 batt and cartomizer, performance-wise, and a 510 batt and 510 carto?
Is there a difference between cartomizers from different vendors? V4L seems to be the big guy in the KR8 neighborhood and has "premium" cartomizers. How are these different from regular cartomizers? Can I buy different color cartomizers for different flavors - a multi pack or a-la-cart, or can I only get a pack of five of the same color?
I have used cartridges for months. I just wash them and restuff them with Fluval or blue foam occasionally. I toss them when they get teeth marks or don't fit snug in the atty anymore. RN4072 atomizers last a month or so and Blucig atties seem to last forever with the occasional PGA soak. (Unless you drop one and then step on it. They don't work well after they have been flattened) It seems cartomizers need replacing fairly often. Are they really worth the extra expense?
And finally, who are your preferred vendors?
Thanks so much for any help.
