If you are using the slim cylindrical KR808D-1 batteries then you do not want LR (low resistance) cartos. Their power requirements are higher so they should be used only on a fat-battery version of a KR8 like the Elegant Easy from CigEasy.

You want ones that do not say LR, do not say a resistance below 2.8 ohms or so? High 2's and low 3's are what you want for ohms. You also definitely want to get ones with SOFT CAP (aka soft tip) for ease in refilling. One kind I think are liked are the KR808D-1 Premium Cartomizers at LiteCigUSA.net (in the carts or cartos section). In the comments someone says they are soft cap

If you find you are mostly using a KR-808D1 passthru at 5 volts, look into the Vapor4Life CoolCarts or the Boge 3.0's (Liberty Flight and many others). They are High Resistance cartomizers. They work great on the passthrus and the XL batteries that often start out at 4.2 volts. They run a little cooler while giving excellent vapor and TH. They also last quite a while and hold up well to cleaning. My favorite KR-808D1 carts because once you get them going, they don't burn easily. They are made for high voltage heavy vaping.

They hold more e-juice than the regular standard carts like V4L WOW, so be very careful to fill them completely and let them sit an hour to wick the first time. I have burnt way too many carts being impatient. Make sure the inner core has been saturated from the outside the first time.

When you do burn a cartomizer, put on some rubber gloves and pull out the innards. That's how I figured out why I kept burning new carts. Some e-juices don't wick nearly as fast as others.

With a USB passthru refill with e-juice as soon as flavor/vapor diminishes, don't wait for the burnt taste. I usually add 9-12 drops when it's time for a refill so I am practically dripping. Filling a brand new one usually takes about 30 drops. I can vape them down much further on a standard or shortie battery.

OK... now I'm getting confused. The place that I bought my kit from sells blanks and this is what they had to say about them....

V2 Blanks are the highest quality KR808D-1 compatible cartomizers on the market today. These low resistance cartomizers are designed for use with our 4.2 volt e-cigarette batteries, and for use with our 5-volt Power-Cig and Notebook-Cig models

Is $8.95 a lot to pay for 5?

First off that is not true, V2cig batteries (I have 5) only measure 3.7-3.88 off the charger and drop fast. They also don't last 2 days to over a week like their website says. Not to mention they don't have blanks in stock and have they ever delivered anything to you when they said they will? Can you wait a month for them?

I am a V2cig victim. I started with them and believed their website hype. They are a rebrander and their stuff is mediocre. They use mediocre Chinese juice in their prefilleds and swap merchandise often. No two cart/battery/charger orders look the same. The exact same KR808D1 equipment and better can be bought cheaper from any of the ECF suppliers. I waited months to get my orders completely filled from them and only got it after calling every few days and finally threatening to get a credit card charge back. I was so happy when the last item arrived so I wouldn't have to deal with them again. Best customer service? Try any listed supplier mentioned on this site and see what good customer service is about. No one will sell you merchandise they don't have it stock, charge you immediately, and ship in weeks and months later. Can you tell I felt ripped off by them? End of rant.

$8.95 is all right for 5, but you can get the CoolCarts on sale from Vapor4Life at around 7.95 for 5 and I think some of the suppliers here sell the Boge 3.0s for 7.50 for 5. They are all made by Boge anyway. The code for this weekend 30% sale for V4L is any of the names of the football teams playing this weekend. Liberty FLights has good prices and $3 shipping.

Every vender out there claims to sell the best, the greatest and the latest of whatever it is they are selling. There is no standard for low resistance cartomizers so this guy can get away with saying whatever he wants. In this community an LR carto is considered to be around 2 ohms or less. I doubt if this guy is talking about cartos that go that low. Can't say for sure but since he doesn't actually mention the resistance in ohms so it sounds like overblown hype. In any case I would not use a 2.0 ohm carto on a regular KR808 unless this vendor is selling some kind of super battery that no one else can come close too. Possible but not likely. It will works but won't last very long because you will be straining the battery beyond what it was designed for. Even the larger KR808 XL isn't designed for LR batteries. In fact the KR808 with its 3,7 ohm working voltage was designed for use with 3,0 ohms or a bit higher cartos. The original Kanger cartos that came with it ran about 3.4 ohms and Kanger first came out with this battery.

If you want pre filled cartos for your KR808 go to:
Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives
They have the best selection. Try the premiums.
or:
Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA
You might get better prices here and there and they have a better selection of unfilled cartos.

I vape almost exclusively with KR808-D1's and have for a year now. I've purchaed both batteries and different cartos, etc., from about 10 different vendors, including ones suggested by others here.

I now purchase all of my KR-808D1 blank cartos (regular size) from LiteCigUSA.net FOR use with my short or XL KR808D1 "slim" line batteries. I prefer the hard caps but they also have soft caps. Good price. Easy to refill. Refillable many times. Cleanable. These are the right ohms (as explained below) for regular (or even XL) batteries.

BUT . . . . . these cartos do NOT work on my KR808-D1 USB passthroughs that I also purchase from LiteCigUSA.net.

I also own several vGO's - KR808-D1s from Kanger. Love them - last much longer. These are much higher mAhs - 1000 and 1300. With these I use the KR VGO XL Empty Caartos from Vapors Heaven. These work great on the vGO's, hold about 2x the amount of liquid, and work with BOTH the vGO and the specific USB passthroughs I have. Also refillable multiple times, easy to refill and can be cleaned.

Note - I don't use the USB passthru connected to my computer. It's connected to a USB adapter with A, W, V to match the PassThru -- then connected to an extension cord to a wall outlet. Works for me and saves my computer from potential damage.
