How the heck do you vape with a Cartomizer! :(

So i am trying a different vaping experience and i begun to buy some 510 boge cartomizers. I have had one sponge carto in my XL tanks, but it doesn't seem to have the problem like what i have when i JUST USE the cartomizer. It could be the possibility that there is juice always when its with the carto.

So im asking, whats the proper way to fill just cartomizers and dripping with them? I seem to inhale tons of juice when i fill the blanks up it was drinking ejuice which is really gross! *coughs* Not many of my friends here uses the cartomizers on its own so thats why im lurking the forums for some answers.

Also whats the average lifespan of these cartos for a heavy vaper like me before tossing them out?

On a side note, does anyone knows where i can order some PINK cartos! XD

You may be getting fluid in the center hole I use a needle to fill unpunched cartos.

To fill them, remove the top, take a toothpick or a match and place in the center tube, then fill it with 20-40(depends if it's a regular or XL size) drops of juice until the juice comes out through the bottom. Dry the bottom with a tissue paper. Vape. Simple as that.

I would google the bottom fill method. You use the "condom" that comes on the ends of the cart, fill with juice. Insert the cart threaded end down. Takes about 2.5 capfulls to fill up. Wipe off the threads, gently suck on the end to clear the airway. Let the carto rest for a couple minutes to allow the juices to settle. When it runs a little dry just add a few drops in the top. Bottom fill and other techniques are only required for the initial fill. After the first time the filler material will readily accept juice.

For mine, I remove the back rubber cover, put a round toothpick in the center hole and drop in about 20 drops. Let it set for about a minute then finish filling, about 40 TOTAL drops for initial fill and 35 TOTAL drops for subsequent fills for XL. Replace the rubber cap and let it sit about another minute and then blow through it to make sure nothing is in the airway. Then it's good to go. Never had any issues.

I did try soaking the sponge thoroughly for the first time, but yeah i guess some got into the center which caused me to inhale so much liquid at once. Do you guys really leave it awhile before vaping or its subjective? It does makes sense that we are letting the sponge to soak tho hehe!

Unpunched if you are not using a tank. The holes in a punched carto allow juice to flow in from a tank. They would be quite messy if used in a non tank config.

Found this method can leave dry spots. Takes quite some time for the juice to soak to the bottom leading to dry burning the filler, especially when using a high VH liquid. YMMV.

There are many ways to fill a carto; which method is "best" is the one that works best for YOU. Try the condom bottom fill method or drip from the top.

I prefer dripping from the top. I add a wood toothpick to the center air hole at the top to keep juice getting in there. I then use the drip and shake method. Add drops of liquid to the polyfill until it looks like a slushy drink. Then shake it down like a thermometer. This action simulates a centrifuge, forcing the juice into the bottom of the filler. Add more juice, shake some more. When the filler will take no more liquid, remove the toothpick and add your drip tip. It's now ready to vape.

Side note, I remember pulling stuffing out of cartos and using the carto itself as a drip tip around 3 years ago. Local B&M was always selling out of drip tips and the taste was better dripping. Also remember when the method was to fill the padding from the bottom, then put the condom back on so as not to spill. Boy how times have changed.
