Cartomizer vs Clearomizer

I started out using cartomizers with my Provari only to hate the experience and problems associated with them. So I got a nautilus Aspire clearomizer and love everything about it. Yet I read do many comments on here about bad cartomizers and few people suggest going to a clearomizer. I'm still on my first heater and it has lasted over a month and still working just as good as the first day I used it. If I want to change flavors all I have to do is clean it and fill with new flavor with no lingering taste from previous flavor. So why do I get the stink eye for suggesting a clearomizer?

Its a preference thing. Some just get different results that they appreciate. To each his own.

I use Clearomizers for the simplicity, nothing really more. As you said, clean and vape. Actually, the atomizer in a clearomizer is rebuildable, but limited as compared to RDAs, IMHO.

As to changing flavors, I have about four Clearomizers that have juice in them that I switch between. I also have a couple of Clearomizers with lower nic juice for the evenings when I relax in front of the TV.

Lastly, I have one with higher nic for when just gtting going in the morning. The last bit of juice for that one is headed for the trash, though. I am learning that expelling draws through the nose helps the nic absorption. So Higher nic is no longer needed.

So, with that in mind, I have a fair number of Clearomizers. If you ask, others do, too.

Hope helps

I get consistently good flavor and performance from cartos. I also use clearos, and have a small army of EVODs, T3S's, MT3S's, Unitank, and Protank Mini. The question for me is always "Will this particular juice work well in a clearo?" Most of the time, they do, but there is the occasional juice that just tastes awful in a clearo. Note: I am one of the few that uses my cartos untanked, and I still enjoy them.

To each their own, and whatever works best for YOU.

I started with clearos (they came with my itaste), but I'm about to try cartos, just to see if I get better taste. Not too costly and it sounds simple for a not-too-mechanically minded person.

But why waste so much money on cartos?

Some say they get a better taste. I don't get it personally.

Some like the convienence of just throwing away a carto and replacing it and don't mind a little extra expense, particularly compared to analogs
. I'm cheap.

Some like the looks and feel. I don't really care about looks, I like things that work. Also, most carto tanks are top heavy on anything but big mods.

Some say carto tanks are easier and require less fiddling. I say complete hog wash, people are always fiddling with their thingys and replacing o-rings and breaking their pretty tanks etc..

I use primarily clearo's and recommend them to all beginners.

So much of it is personal preference. What ever works to keep you off the stinkies!

I am still using the same vision vivi nova clearos I bought almost a year and a half ago and rebuilding the heads. They just work for me, other people hate them. It's all preference and how much time you are willing to take to make them work. I also have all the other types, but as far as ease of use and cost efficiency you can't beat them. I don't want anything that I have to continually replace.

I have two Vivi Nova Clearomizers and I love them. I have cleaned the wicks and used different flavors with no problem (depends on the flavors though). But that's why I bought a 2nd tank, so I could keep a favorite flavor in one and change the flavor in the other. I sometime just swap out the atomomizer and keep the old one in a bag to swap back in if I use that flavor again (I really just need to buy a couple more tanks  )

Of course I have only been vaping for a year off and on and solid for the past 3 months. So I haven't tried everything...yet :)

I didn't get into cartomizers until later into my vaping journey. I love them for flavor but I like my bcc's for a more smokey sensation in my tobacco juice. It is preference and to each their own. I personally wouldn't try and recommend a cartomizer to someone who just started because it does require more work than a clearomizer in most cases now. I use cartotanks 95% of the time now since I don't even use my tobacco flavor as much. I keep clearomizers on hand for my newly transitioning friends to vaping and they love them.

I agree with everything you stated. Performance over looks.

This is basically BS. Those of us who recommend tank carto's for the better flavor, better consistency and much less hassle, also recommend only buying good ones like Phiniac or IBtanked. I have been using the same tanks for over a year and have never had a leak and never had to replace the seals. I change my $1.50 carto every two weeks. That's all the maintenance required.

When you don't know "first hand" what you are talking about, best to say little.

Like I said some say it requires less fiddling. I'm glad that you have had a good experience. Apparently you have never fiddled with your thingy, your carto's must come pre-primed.

Your assuming my level of experience with the device. You know what they say about assuming right?

So Cal
I prefer most of my juice in IB Tanked cartotanks - apart from my Reo with RM2, it gives me the cleanest flavor. I find them extremely easy to use and have never had a problem with O rings or anything else! A few minutes to prime the carto and then I'm good for 30mls or so of juice on one carto.

I've not been fortunate enough to find any 510 clearo as maintenance free as my cartotanks :p

Carto tanks still offer the best flavor, IMO. I recommend clearos to noobs because they are easier to fill and deal with.
Clearos used to be far more fiddly that carto tanks, but they have improved a great deal in the last year. The flavor is also getting better. Carto tanks have no fiddliness, just punch 'em, fill 'em and vape 'em. They are also less likely to leak than clearos, but both are really good in this regard.

Cartos don't cost any more than replacement heads, so you only save money if you rebuild them. In other words, "fiddle".

Some of what "they" say may be from posts a year or two ago, in which case they would have been accurate.
