Has anyone tried both of these that could give me a review/comparison as to the differences and benefits/negatives of each? Which one would hold more, last longer, be easier to fill and clean? The XL one is ceramic and contains no filler so I am not really understanding how this works. It holds 1.8 mL of juice compared to about how much for the other one?

I have personally used both those cartos from happy vaper and would be glad to give you my opinion. The first thing I ever vaped on was the CE2 Ceramic cartos as they are what I ordered with my starter kit. They are fairly easy to fill since Jack from happy vaper includes a syringe and soft tip needle with each pack of them. Basically those cartos have an internal resevoir which holds the liquid and a wick that brings the liquid up into the heating coil. I found they produced decent vapor when turned upside down just before taking a drag. I never experienced any burnt taste while using those cartos although it is impossible to tell when they need to be refilled (unless you do a syringe mod).

As for the standard cartos they are made by boge and they do have filler to hold the juice in place. I found that both the flavour and amount of vapor was far superior with these cartos and even though they hold less juice (around 1ml) I always carry a few extra cartos in my pocket filled and covered with the shipping condoms. I would not suggest this with the CE2 cartos since the ones from Happy Vaper did not come with condoms and they will leak juice (in my experience) when turned upside down for too long. The only downfall to the standard boge cartos is that you will inevitably get that burnt filler taste in your mouth if you vape them too dry. After a while however you will learn to detect even the tiniest taste of burnt filler and you can refill the carto before you ever get a mouthful of that nasty stuff.

In conclusion if you want something simple, trusted, and of good quality, go with the standard boge cartos. If you like to tinker and maybe want to try a syringe mod go with the CE2s (but order some boges anyway in case the CE2s frustrate you) Tell me if you need any more info.

Thankyou, this definately helps, I put an order in from HV a couple of days ago and I was looking for the XLs but they weren't under the eGo category so I missed them and just ordered the standard boges. Then I came across the CE2's today and almost whipped out the credit card (i think I may have to lock it up somewhere and give hubby the key!), but good thing I asked first. I am trying to get my hubby going on vaping, his eGo from HV is on the way, but he sees me dripping all day and keeps saying that he knows this is not gonna work for him cause he drives heavy equipment for his work and can't drip and drive. I haven't tried the cartos and have given up on carts all together, but I keep assuring him that a few cartos and the eGo battery will work for him. It is a little discouraging that he isn't psyched up to try it, maybe he isn't ready to quit, but every other time we tried to quit together, it was always me that failed first!

When you say if you like to tinker with the CE2 that's a bit of an understatement. These things are changing so fast that you never know what you are getting. The newest ones are transparent and made of plastic. They seem to vape more consistently but people are having trouble with them coming apart. You seem to have the Xls and they have been the ones with the most problems with wicking that's why you have to hold them with the mouthpiece down. A couple of weeks ago I bought some 510 and some with a KR808 thread. the 510 worked well and everyone of the KR808s had wicking problems. My advice to anyone who wants to try these is order small quantities until things settle down with them.

Having said that they are still the only ones I use anymore. Because when they do work they are great.

You would think that after all the trials and tribulations they would get it right. All the mfr is doing is keeping up with what folks are doing modding. From the get go reviews have been mixed and those who dod favour them have to tinker. IMHO that is pure unadultered BS. equipment should be ready to go straight out of the box. Is that too much to ask for?

Absolutely but till that happens there isn't much choice. You can drip but that isn't suitable in all situations. Even then you can get bad attys.

... or bad suppliers, just like bad contractors bldg homes.

Here is a free one for all. We have heard some 306 DTs crack. IMHO they are mfrd with extruded acrylic vice cast acrylic. This info is readily available from mfr websites. The down side, it cost on avg 2-3 times more.

AMEN! Was Bad Kolo always a manufactorer of these? I used to read the ce2 threads pretty religiously and I never remember him being more than a modder. Hmmmm.... Makes me wonder about the real interest of companies manufactoring the CE2. Doesn't seem to me like there is a lot of integrity with their business decisions... How do people not see them dangling the carrot?
