I'm just wondering about when you taste like a burnt one is that the cart actually melting plastic or something? I was told to toss the cart once that happens. Any info would be appreciated. I use v4l which was told is made by Dekang. I'm not having any noted issues just curious.

Thanks for the info.. I meant if it's tastes burnt then does that mean the cart is starting to melt plastic or something.. causing inhalation of smoke from the plastic burning..
Thats exactly what is happening. Before you pitch it, take it apart and verify for yourself.
If the cart is dry and you try to vape, you will be dragging on a dry atomizer and it will produce a terrible taste. Mine didn't taste like plastic, it was more of a chemical mixture smell and taste. After about 10 puffs (not inhaled) the juice taste is starting to come back a little. But I'm ready to toss the atty and just use a new one.
We were discussing this in the "Shortness of Breath" thread. Here is a link to a thread Ralph T showed me that shows cartomizers dissected after being vaped. For curiosity's sake, I pulled out the insides of a cart I was vaping at the time. The cart still had flavor, loads of juice, and was far from being at the disposing point. It looked similar to the pics in the linked thread, maybe not as bad, and it was soaked with juice. Definite scorched parts, and melted filler though. It really makes you think and question the use of cartomizers. I would welcome some info or a link to a post/thread that would alleviate my worries.
I opened up a burnt kr8 cartomizer and found that a hole was burnt thru the insulation between the heating element and the filler. Very nasty! As soon as a carto begins to taste "flat" I refill.
