Cartomizers and plastic caps

This may be a silly newbie question. But if you fill a blank cartomizer are you suppose to put those plastic caps back on both sides whenever it's not being used so the air doesn't get to them and cause any kind of mildew?

I wondered the same thing...sort of. It seems like a good idea since they ship that way, but I think it would be more to keep them from drying out prematurely. Hopefully someone more in the know will chime in on this since I'm a bit of a noob myself as well.

If you're talking about the rubber end caps; keeps them from drying out or leaking in your pockets.
