Cartomizer end caps?

Hey all, dumb newb question here... the plastic caps that come on both ends of the cartomizer (Atomz), do I need to keep these? Will juice evaporate if I pitch 'em?

I don't like messing with putting them on and taking them off, but I don't want to give free e-juice to evaporation either...

I keep them and use them on the extra carts I re-fill. I wouldn't throw anything away, just put them in a zip lock bag and keep for the future. I use these caps for my 510 carts as well because they are nice caps.

That's a pretty good idea.

I think more of what I was asking would be, Should I keep those caps on the carts when not in use? Or if I'm carrying one with me in a case, is it a bad thing to not have the end caps on, from the perspective of juice evaporating? I really don't even know if the stuff does evaporate (much)...

yes they keep liquid out of your mouth, lol
ohh wait those rubber end things,,, they keep juice out of your mouth if you store your cartos in your mouth, but when refilling they keep it from dripping thru the carto.
I use them to seal the carto til use too

Example: You just used a cart, and you plan on using it again in an hour, more or less... Do you leave the caps off, or do you replace them until its next imminent use?

I don't put the caps on, unless I refill them.
The only reason I do that is to prevent spilling.
Other than that I do not use the caps.
I even leave an uncapped cartomizer overnight and use it without any problems in the morning.

My experience...I keep the caps on when storing or taking them with me now. I have discovered there is leaking and possible evaporation. I know this because I was keeping all my used carts in a plastic bag and when I went to clean and refill them there was liquid all over the inside of the bag and on the outside of the carts. I know I smoked them pretty completely because it was from my first two weeks of use...didn't know quite when to stop then...lol.

Lol, good to know. I'm stopping as soon as I start getting a burnt taste now... I also notice when it's low, the end of the cart near the atomizer gets warmer than usual. Seems like a good stopping point to me...

I really hope the mailman brought me my bottle of juice today. I have three empty carts...

I keep the caps, or condoms as many of us call them, for use in refilling. If I'm going to be vaping on the cartomizer that day I do not replace the condoms. Just put them on for refilling then after for storage until I use them.
