Hi everyone - I hope someone can help me figure this out. I have been vaping for 6 Months and my husband for 5 months. WE just started with cartomizers about 2weeks ago...I have been noticing I now experience shortness of breath. I did not have this before I started using cartomizers? My husband stopped using them and I wasn't sure why he said he liked the OLD way better. This morning I asked him if he had any changes when we started using the cartomizers and he said yeah I had a hard time breathing... even when I wasn't doing anything. Anyone else experience this? We did go down in our nicotine, but that shouldn't effect our breathing. Anyone else experience this?

i have only used carto's from the beginning when i started vaping... there has been a couple of times that i noticed a little difference in breathing, but it was my own foolishment, i was chain vaping. i know there is alot of people that do this and have no problems. but for some of us, we can't or at least i can't i have to pace myself... i know that i'm not helping you out with your question, but i wanted to share my experience. but in all respect, maybe you should go back to your old ways if you are having breathing problems.... good luck.

Here is my .02, worth less than .01, probably. I have had SOB issues off and on. I don't know if it was carts. It seemed worse when using a 901. I can only relate my experience and by no means do I pretend that it is the correct answer.

I recently tried a new juice supplier and the SOB issue seems to have corrected itself. I am still using carts and some (much less) of the old juice so I can't say, for sure, what has corrected the problem. The only change is, I am using mostly different, non Chinese, juice.

It may have nothing to do with the juice. I guess it is possible that I just, coincidently, had some type of physical change.

For the record, I have been vaping and analog free for nearly a year, so the change took a long time and the SOB varied in severity but was always there. It was much worse over the last 2-3 months and now is gone.

I hope this helps. I wish I could be sure what made the difference. You may want to try some different juice for a period to see if that helps.

Whatever it takes, keep vaping.

hmm i guess since youve been vaping a pg allergy may not be the cause, it could be that your old juice was a pg vg mixture, and these may have more pg in them for whatever reason. is it only a certain flavor? it could be something in the flavor is agitating him, may try a different flavor if he only sticks to one.

THANK-YOU everyone...keep any experiences you have coming. They help me think of the new things I've done. I did try some prefilled carts (that I haven't tried before) and I bought a new bottle of juice that those carts had been filled with, maybe that's the problem. I usually vape between 2 flavors. One I always use and the new one. I will also pull apart one of the cartomizers...when I put a new one on I didn't have the shortness of breath but now on day 2 with that cartomizer it is starting.I also have a heavy feeling in my chest. I will go back to the way I was doing things and wait for it to get better. Then I will intorduce 1 new thing at a time and see if I can figure it out. I didn't even think about the prefilled carts and the new juice. Thanks again everyone

I have used at least 20 flavors. I use to add half VG to juice; I have used straight PG juice and combo PG/VG juice. The new juice I am buying is 3:1 PG/VG ratio.

I did not think about the flavor. It could be different type of flavoring in the non Chinese juice. I would suspect they all use similar flavoring. But there may be different flavoring from country to country. Excellent point CR12

I think it's the flavoring!!!!!! I never thought of that but i have been vaping my other juice and I seem to be getting a little better. I hope that is it. I went home this morning and grabbed my other juice and started to use that and I'm feeling a little better. I will try my old juice in a carto tonight and I won't try the new juice and see what happens. I think it may take a little while to get out of my system. I feel better I thought oh know I have vaped for 6 months and I don't want to stop. The carto shouldn't be the problem...it's has to be the flavoring. I don't think I'm gonna try any new juice for a while I want to make sure you all solved this. THANKS!!!!!! I'll keep you posted.

Well I've been home and guess what... It had to be the juice!!!!!! I'm feeling much better. WOW Thanks for everyone posts. I think I will just stick with the companies that I know I can vape their juice. I was so worried that I'd have to stop vaping and I really didn't want to do that. I just hope that the companies that sell juice realize (cause I know I didn't think of it) that we consumers need consistency in our juice suppliers. It's one thing to not like a certain juice due to taste but another to not be able to tolerate it. I will update a little later, I just wanted to share an update, Thanks again

September 1st will mark my first year of vaping, and I've only had the SOB problem once (accompanied by a sore throat). It was with a non-V4L RY4, so I stopped using it and have had no trouble since. No V4L flavor I've tried has had any ill effects on me, but that doesn't mean that someone else might have a sensitivity to a particular flavoring agent.
