Depending on the batteries (for the XHaler) your probably running closer to 6 - 7.2 - 7.4 volts.

The V1 has a resistored switch to use with 2 RCR123's and the V2 has a resistor built in to provide vaping ~ 5 volts.

I've run mine on the V1 and they're fine. I just prefer them at 4.2 - 3.7 with the 18650 because I can go a day or a day and a half before having to change batts or carts.
Also run them on the protege @ 4.2 - 3.7 with the same experience.

It all boils down to preferences and opinions.
You owe it to yourself to at least try it and see what *you* think.

I used carto's on my xhaler, and it worked fine for me. Although it does destroy them withing a day or two of use

Ah geez, that turned out to be prophetic. I'm losing cartos left and right in the last two days, weirdly enough. (Did my Xhaler get demonically possessed? Did it switch to 6v by the screw moving around, since I take it everywhere with me and it gets jostled?)

I'm trying to be careful but I've lost like 4 cartos in the last two days thanks to burnt flavor or other deaths. They already had 5-10 refills or top-ups in them, so they weren't brand new, but still, I've got to start buying in bulk if I keep losing them like this...

Bottom line I guess is that high-voltage vaping will be harder on cartomizers, as it is on all hardware.

Ive only had 1 carto pop under HV and that was a very used one.
They seem to last and last at 5v and also even at 6v.
5v Is the weet spot for me with them though.

All I can say is I wish I'd found them a lot sooner. I would have saved a lot of money on all the atomizers I have purchased.

Still like my 510 too at 5v..

I only use cartomizers. I use them at 3.7 volts and at 5-6 volts. I think they work great at higher voltages; however, I find that some juice flavors that I like at 3.7 volts, I do not like at a higher voltage. The sweeter juices seem to be much too sweet, at least for me, at higher voltages.

At higher voltages, I generally put in 6 drops into the battery end and take about 10-20 large drags and then repeat.
