So I was thinking of investing in some cartomizers for convenience, all this topping off is already wearing on me nerves. Problem being. Which ones do I try? I dont get the ohm thing. I have a 510, not sure what the ohm is on the attys I have now. I dig madvapes prices... anyone have experience with the smok Tech 2.0?

As far as cleaning the atty goes.... should I soak it in alcohol for 10 min and let it dry out? Is that safe? How often should I clean it... I vape throughout the day... maybe 2 ml or so.

Should I be dripping a couple drops on the atty bridge directly when I refill? Wet is better seems to be the general consensuses but what about flooding? I just wanna make it last as long as possible!

Last question (I swear Im done asking noob questions today!) On average what is the overall battery life on the 510? Approximantly how long will it be til it takes a crap on me and I gotta buy another... Just wanna be prepared.

Phew.. Done. THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who have given me their advice and taken the time to reply to my posts. Cant tell you how much I appreciate that. Loving my 510 so far. Its a more than adequate replacement for those dirty little cigs!:2cool:

Yeah with a standard 510 battery you want cartos that say 3.x ohm and don't say LR or Low resistance. People use the LR ones on the more powerful Ego version of the 510.

Washing attys - I have another I can swap to so I do at least overnight cleaning. My attys would never get clean in 10 minutes because i clean about weekly unless it needs it sooner. I have a jar of vodka which I dump and refill if it gets dirty. Grain alcohol would be better. I switch to a clean dry atty (after priming it well). I blow out the used atty and put it in the jar. I make sure all air bubbles are out of the atty and it's all wet inside. I might scoop some of the alcohol through it too. then I leave it in the jar overnight and some time the next day I scoop the alcohol through it to rinse out any dissolved stuff then shake it out well and lay it to dry on paper towels. if you needed it right away you could point a blow dryer throw it or blow air through it yourself until it's dry.

I don't drip on the atty when I refill a cart but you could if you think the atty is really dry. I usually only drip on the atty if I am dripping with a drip tip (and don't drip with a drip tip or drip straight down on the atty if your have automatic batteries with a hole in the end). If the atty gurgles and isn't vaping well, then take it off and blow it into a tissue and dry both sides of the battery connection if necessary.

I pay attention to the heat of my atty - if it is getting abnormally hot then then I check and fix whatever is wrong - top off or refill cart, fix the position of the cart stuffing, etc.

I do switch my carts to blue foam when the white stuffing stops working well. You can get super-cheap precut pieces of blue foam for 510 carts at strictlyejuice.com (though I don't particularly recommend their juices).

In general, a small e-cigarette battery may be good for up to 150 recharges. Manufacturers often claim 300 but I read 150 is more realistic. When you do need one, Litecigusa.net has good prices and super cheap shipping (usually under $3).
