atty clean that works for me: half an empty film cannister of vodka or pga....drop in the dirty atty, cap off and shake well. Blow out any excess from both ends and dry burn until no vapor. repeat cannister soak/shake. Blow out any excess. Add 5-7 drops of juice and vape away. I found if I did not rinse after the dry burn that flavor is not as good so now do not do a second dry burn just add a little juice to the damp (not wet) atty after the final rinse.

possible - alcohol does create a 'drying' feeling. But, alcohol has a low flash point... don't know if it would want to flame up in an atomizer & give a lot more than bargained for. I was thinking more - one shot to clean atty, one shot for me.

You could more then likely clean the atty with 1/2 a shot leaving more for you

Yeah, the dry burn burns off all the gunk that was baked on to the coil, and it leaves ash behind.
That's why you definitely need to rinse again after a dry burn.

And of course, a good hot rinse before a dry burn is important too.
Gets all the old dried up juice out of the mesh.

Now that's the kind of thinking I like to see!

Probably not the right place, but would one of the guru's here explain exactly how a carto works? I've been using them (preferred over carts/attys for me) and cleaning them (hot water & cone syringe finished by an alcohol rinse) but really don't understand what I'm seeing inside. Obviously, there is a filler material about the circumference, with some sort of hollow area in the middle. Additionally, I see some sort of black (dark) thread or wire that runs through the hollow. Is that the "element"? I haven't yet had one go bad, so I haven't seen one torn apart. Is there more than that in there? If so, could someone give me a quickie?
