I ordered mine with my kit at modernvapor.com. It was a pretty small piece (I think I can get about 8-10 carts worth out of it though), but i think it was only like $1.30. I've read that you can get it at pet stores as the filler for some aquarium filters. Not sure on the specifics, but I know there are posts around here somewhere.

I use dedicated attys and/or cartomizers. While many flavors can enhance one another, such as tobacco + coffee, Ry4 + apple, etc... making muck is easier. I use Mega Attys on my eGo, which come in a variety of colors at places like goodprophets which makes it easier to keep my pina colada or atomic cinnacide in it's pure state. Other ways work too, like using matching hairbands on carto and juice. Or fingernail stickers. ..

To clean out the filler: Just like the others have suggested already. Blot out the excess on a paper towel, rinse under hot water, blot dry on clean paper towel, let dry. Add eliquid to empty cart, about 1/2 way.. set the filler back in, then top it off. If atty is dry, prime the atty with a drop or two or three... it depends upon your atty and it depends upon how well your filler lets the juice flow. You'll notice that each cart will be different... some hold it too much, some release it too fast, some are perfect. The less often the filler is fooled with, the longer it will hold up. (air cells).

Even if only one flavor is used, it's always good to have lots of backup attys. Can never have enough attys lol. So many flavors, so little time...

Hope this helps.

If you let it completely dry and evaporate there should be little to nothing left of the rubbing alcohol to vape. I agree though, vaping it would not be healthy, so just make sure to let it all dry out overnight. Once it's dry I would tend to think it would be fine.
If you are short of time, two methods I have found to dry them completely out is: Put them on a paper towel over the furnace heating vent for an couple of hours. OR if really short of time - put them in a clean cotton sock and knot the end and throw it in the dryer for about 30 minutes.

tho im not sure how to clean them or really care for them and havnt seen any threads about it

It is rather easy to do. You can use isopropyl Alcohol, but go with the 91% or higher (electronic stores normally have the 99%) and just soak the atty in it. There are several vids out on how to clean them and it does work. I have rejuvenated all my old atty that had stopped working by just cleaning them.

Even quicker is to throw them in the oven for 20 minutes at 150 degrees.
And of course the quickest is a dry burn, which is about 30-45 seconds.

But if you're doing a dry burn it is very important to do the whole cycle correctly.
So yeah, it would take a little longer depending on what battery you use.

How to do dry burn cycles properly...

I have been using 510 cartomizers exclusively for the past 5 months now. I have found them to be a lot less hassle than an atomizer and cartridge. The cartomizer holds enough liquid to vape for a few hours before I really need to refill/top off. I also haven't had any issues with overfilling. After I've filled up, I just blow out the excess into a paper towel and I'm good to go. I remember always flooding my atomizer before from overfilling the cartridge. Also, I remember topping off the cartridge every 15-20mins of vaping.

msuppitypats- To clean the fiber in the cartridge, you can just use a pair of tweezers and pull the filling out and run it under some tap water for a while to rinse out the liquied then pat it dry with a paper towel. You may still taste the old flavor from residue on the atomizer though, so you will want to use a different atomizer or clean it as well. I cleaned my atomizers by soaking them in hot water for a half hour or so, rinse under the tap, and let dry over night.

Foltzy, Can I ask where you purchased a carto that you can get hours of vaping from? I bought a pack of 5 in a white box that says Atomized cartridges on it and they last me maybe 30 mins before I have to refill. 2 of the 5 were unvapeable, I would fill and all I tasted was metal. No juice taste, no vapor. I am on a mad hunt for great cartos for my Joye eGo.

You may want to try the Boge ones I mentioned. Many people like them. LiteCigUSA has them for $8 for box of 5. I would likely avoid Bauway or any brand you do not know. Some cartos are simply junk, in my view.

Isopropyl alsohol also has an additive - bitrex - to make sure everyone knows it's undrinkable. Exactly what it sounds like - the most bitter substance known.

Even if you squeeze the fiber out, some of the bitter will remain.

Luckily, Everclear is pure, unadulterated fun!

Does Everclear give more of a TH? I think someone mentioned they added some to their liquid for more TH...

Hey Doc thanks for turning me on to a new supplier, I am waiting for my shipment of the Boge and SLB cartos. :::crossing my fingers::: they are the fix I have been searching for... I agree some cartos are junk. The ones I bought were. The prefilled ones I bought I didn't like the taste at all so I just boiled the juice out of them and they worked great! When I bought the new empties one (different supplier) they were junk. So Thank you for mentioning Litecigusa.

possible - alcohol does create a 'drying' feeling. But, alcohol has a low flash point... don't know if it would want to flame up in an atomizer & give a lot more than bargained for. I was thinking more - one shot to clean atty, one shot for me.
