Help a poor newbie out here!
I apologize in advance if the info is here on the forum somewhere but I have been unable to find it if so. I have been trying out different methods of vaping which have included dripping. I have read that some of the drippers use the cartos when they are in the car etc where it would not be convenient to drip frequently.
I am still new to vaping so trying to find my rhythm here. I looked to see what the difference between the cartos and the atomizers are but all I found was something that referred to the fact that you could put a lot more liquid in them than you could in the regular cartridges.
So if someone can help me out here by explaining the differences and the pros and cons of that system I would appreciate it. If the info is somewhere then please point me in that direction :).
TIA

What are you using Star? I have the eGo, which is the 510 and I use the 510 cartomizers (cartos) The cartomizer is the atomizer and cartridge all in one and I for one love them. The are easy to fill using the method wear you use the silicone sleeve that covers the ends, put the liquid in and push the mouth piece end down into it and the liquid goes into the cartomizer, easy peasy :) If you need any other help just let us know :)

I am in no way shape or form promoting cartriges or saying they are better but cartomizers have a huuuge tendency to melt and burn the material within them and it's a mystery what those fumes do to you. I would prefer regular atomizers against cartomizers Simply because with regular atomizers you have more control over cleaning and refilling espeially if you just drip.

Personally, I've struggled to the point that I almost went back to analogs from using the standard atty / cart vaping. The thing that switched me over to cartos full time was when i went to 6v on my device. I tried 3 normal 510 atty's and each of them blew out quickly so i figured I'd try the carto's since they are 5 for 10 bucks instead of 1 for 10 bucks. Low and behold I've been using them ever since. Even at 6v my carto's last me well over a week. The hassle is gone as I only have to refill every few (and I mean like 5 or 6) hours instead of constantly playing with my cart to get the liquid to wick.

Personal preferences are what this whole experience is about but I think that if you were to try a cartomizer you'd be pretty happy :D

If not, it's not a lot of money lost!

I have gone full circle with carts versis cartomizers. I started out using cartomizers, loved it. But after 2 days using the same cart I would get feeling sick to my stomach and pitch them.
Dont want to go the wash routine, they never worked well for me after washing them. This can get expensive fast.

So back to an atty. Now I use cartomizers when out of the house and attys at home.
Its a compromise that works for me .

And atomizers are what people who want to avoid inhaling burned polyfill use.

Can't speak for ALL cartos. But I disect every carto when it is dead. Have never seen any "burned polyfill".

Have seen a glob of gueing junk around a fried atomizer wire. The same gueing junk I saw on atomizers when they died.

Got my first carto's today in the mail.. Have been using cart/atomizers for past month...all i can say is WOW! since im a heavy vaper is much much more easier and they last tons longer. Beats having to refill carts ever few min.

Just a small tip for maximum life out of your carto. Don't vape a carto till it is completely dry. Refill it before it runs out.

The carto I'm vaping on right now, Vanilla and Cinna-Bomb mix, has been refilled 19 times. Not bad when you consider that's aproximately 19 days of consistant hits.

????....why burn your polyfill?....it's so much simpler to use eliquid.....

there's a simple rule about refilling cartomizers.....you don't wait till it starts tasting bad, you refill it when it stops tasting great!........

When at home, I switch back and forth between attys/carts, and cartomizers. Originally I tried the cartomizers as a way of making this process easier for my dad, but they really are convenient. I bought a few packs to test flavors, and have been using them for a week now. I have no complaints. The only time i get that burned taste is when the cartomizer is empty, and i have had good success refilling using the condom method. I would suggest picking a pack up and giving them a try. It really does make things easier for in the car. I figured with a price of $10 bucks for 5, when compared to the high prices of everything else we have to buy to experiment with, it's not that bad. I have no complaints, and I really don't miss carrying juice with me everywhere I go. I just put 2 or 3 cartomizers in my pocket, and I head out the door.
