Ok so maybe Im paranoid, arent we all

There have been a few times where I screw on a cartomizer and I'm puffing away and I swear I smell something burning. Then I start to think of those threads a while back about all the filling in the cartos getting burnt up...not really want to be inhaling that, me thinks...

Now since the Kr8008 is my first intro to vaping (eyeing the m402/403 next) can the fillings get burnt as well with traditional atty + cartridges?

I dont refill my cartos just out of being paranoid about possibly burning the filling, and toss them as the vape goes away, which has me thinking of cost of this...in terms of keeping the habbit going of buying cartos and tossing them when they run out vs replacing atty & cartridges and juice.

Which is cheaper? I would assume the att/cartridge route would be...

actually, I think that not refilling your cartomizers probably has little effect on your chances of inhaling burning filling...

there are 3 things that can contribute to burning filler.

1. Vaping on the carto when it is bone dry.

2. Vaping too "fast" for wicking to put more juice in contact with the
Heating element inside the cart.

3. Doing a little bit of 1 & 2 repeatedly, refilling, and doing 1 & 2 more,
allowing the "burn" to slowly build up.

My Opinion (u know what they say about opinions) would be to refill, but try to be concious that your Carto's are in fact disposable. I vape through about 3 carts a day, but never vape them till they are gone. It takes a little "feel" to know when they are getting low, but if you think it might be getting low, just pop it in your pocket and puff on a different one. Refill them all before bed, and throw them away at the end of the week.

For me, when the battery is getting low... TH, vapor, and flavor all start to drop off. When the cart is getting empty... TH can actually go up, vapor will be about the same, and flavor drops or changes. (Pocket time)

If i just used prefilled carts I would spend $25 a week for sure. More like $6-8 a week this way and I feel pretty safe from carcinogens.

just my 2 cents

i think carts are better because of the cost/safety factor.

I now use a KR8 and when I was using a 510 and also when using a pen style I occasionally out vaped my cartriges especially when I'd been vaping on them for a little while.
Then I'd get a burned plastic taste from them.
I think it all boils down to technique and keeping the filling moist.
