Carto's and long time storage

I'm looking to stock up on cartomizer's for my IBTank's but am a little concerned about experiencing "dry rot" of the filler material.
Anyone have experience with long term storage effect's on carto's? I'm talking about carto's still in the sealed packages.

I buy SmokTech 1.7ohm single coil cartos, usually about 10 boxes at a time. I don't use them frequently, and one carto typically will last me a month or so, since it's on my backup device. They remain sealed until they're used, and I've never had a problem with one. I also tend to give them to people, so I order more every 6 months to a year.

That's not to say that it can't happen, but most likely as long as they're in their original packaging, they should be fine.

I've had other problems with the cartos: dead coil, filler too tight that causes a burn right away. I've never had an issue with dry rot though.
