I have Smoktech ones and Boge LR. Both have the same problem where I can only get a few good drags before I need to wait a while unless I want dry hits. And the filling is burnt an tastes like crap. I don't want to have to deal with this. Why even use that filler? Why not just use a bunch of wicks? Also, what's the point of the filler? It's in a tank full of juice, there's no need for all that in the way.

There are clearo wick tanks, they do not have a carto inside but wicks. I have one that works decent and it is a Titan tank, holds 6 ml of juice too. The problem with wicks is they also have issues. Have to keep the tank tilted and swirled to keep wicks saturated to avoid dry hits and burning, have to be sure that any juice droplets get wiped off top of wick assembly, keep air hole clear to avoid gurgling. Some say the Protank works for them it sounds like a bottom coil. I have not tried that one. We have no perfect delivery system yet, choice is cartos or wicks, both have issues. You just need to find out which works best for you personally. bnrk

If you are using carto tanks I think you are stuck with cartos. Seems to me there was a clearo tank that uses a clearo inside a clearo on Got Vapes, can't think of the name of it off hand tho. Possibly a phoenix tank? I have no idea if it works well. I have use phoenix clearos and they are hit and miss, mostly miss for me. bnrk

Killer 705 atomizer comes to mind.

I think if you're looking for a rebuildable for a carto tank, stillnotsmoking hit it with the Killer 705. I've seen and read good things about them in carto tanks.

PV enthusiasts will argue they're simple to set up, but if you're going from cartos to rebuildables in a tank I think you'll have to do a bit of research, trial and error, and patience-testing before you experience the advantages of a Killer 705 vs. cartos. But if you like tinkering, I say go for a Killer.

Using cartos in a tank you should never get dry hits or burnt taste. Means at some point the coil went dry & has burnt material inside. That carto will retain that flavor forever.

So I personally think some tweaking to the setup is required. Are you using vg heavy liquid? Tried any other carto brand? Maybe widen the holes or add another.

I'm interested in the Killer myself but cartos in tanks work great when operating properly. I never saw the appeal until I tried one & now it makes sense why they are so popular.

Some tips about cartos in tanks: Always fill your cartos with juice like you would if not using in tank before putting it in the tank. Let sit awhile, then punch your holes if they are not pre pununched. 2 holes at least, be sure they are big enough, if too small they will not let juice in (hence burning), too big they will flood. So practice takes perfect :) I find that the round carto punch I use needs 2 1/2 turns once I hear/feel that the screw pierced the carto. Hope that helps :) bnrk

Add another hole or enlarge the existing hole(s) in your cartos. If they can be made to flood profusely by accident, they can be made to satisfy your juice consumption rate by intention. Otherwise solve the leak problem with the protank, which also can be done or at least minimized.

i agree with what was posted here:
fillerless cartos exist, but have mixed reviews- mostly bad.
enlarge the holes in your filler carto to create great wicking.
try a carto-less tank like a nova or a T3.
or if your set on your carto tanks and want a rebuilable option, try the killer. or, wait for a killer clone. its inevitable that it will be cloned.

-OR-

atty tanks exist. avid has the AMP and madvapes has the terminator.

lots of options to enjoy your vape. have fun! :)

How about a RBA carto that does not use filler :)

I designed one and turned it on my lathe, just waiting for the tank to test it in.

Shooting for it to be usable in any tank system as it is 9mmOD and 40mm long.

Would show a pic, but don't want the china seeing it yet :)

I should be able to use any material in it, silica, hemp, cotton, SS, or ceramic. There are only 4 pieces to it, including the center post and isolator.

More to follow.

I might be able to make a fortune if I made some bets that it would be a pyrex dct you will be testing it in :D

They do make a CE2 style tank carto, but I have'nt tried them myself, they seem to get mixed reviews. CE2 Tank Cartomizer Review Azure Vaping Other Tank Hardware - Gordie Tanks I'm just using this vendor as an example, I have'nt bought anything from them.

I tried a similar one of these, the Raven, and was disappointed. The draw was way too airy and the throat hit was significantly degraded. I even taped up one of the holes, which helped a little, but not enough to make it worth using.
