I have not really been able to give the mega cartomizers a real test because they came prefilled and I did not care for the flaver. I got busy with things and set them aside. I have also used the mega carts but was having problems with them leaking. The filler material seemed less dense so you really cannot put in the full amount of e-liquid that they tell you that you can. I get tired of using them because of the leaking issue which was probably my own fault for overfilling them.

I will have to give them a retry one day but right now, too many mods, too little time! LOL

You can get blank Mega eGo cartos too. I bought a 5 pk for about 13.50. Figured that's not too much to give it a try. As for performance, I think they produce more vapor than the std atty & cart, the carto doesn't get as hot and the vapor is a little cooler as well. No need to mess with the cone (as previously mentioned). Pretty easy to fill one you get the hang of it...get a 17g syringe for it too. I put about 1ml in at each filling. That usually lasts awhile (several hrs), depending how often I vape. If I'm at home on the puter, I'll vape more than if I'm working around the house. I had one go bad on me the next day, but another is still crankin'. I've only used 2 so far.

Overall, good bang for the buck!

I've had mixed results with the eGo mega cartomizers. The first two out of my pack of five started giving me a burnt harsh taste after only a few hits. I'm using the third one now with better results but no longer life between refills as regular Boge 510 cartomizers. Refilling is a pain as compared to regular cartos hence I don't even try when away from home. My personal jury is still out but considering the cost I won't be buying any more until I hear they're more consistent re: flavor and longevity between fills. I've had 'em for a couple of weeks alternating between them and regular 510 cartos so this is not a first impression.

On a positive note I will say that I've refilled the one I'm using now numerous times with no degradation in flavor or vapor production. They do produce a lot of vapor in comparison to the "standard" Boge's or SLB's. But if only 30% work decently I'm not impressed overall. Just my own experience...

I thought I'd add that I'm now using my 4th eGo mega carto and am very pleased with the performance of this one. Using TV Waffles 65/35 pg/vg it's been going strong for 2 days now with no burnt taste and lasting longer without topping off. If the first 3 had performed this well I'd be pleased. My first batch at least has been very inconsistent. I'm in a quandry as to whether to order more, especially with the advent of the latest E2 cartomizers on the horizon.

I don't see the point of the cartomizers over the ego mega atomizers. (The cylindrical ones, not the cone-shaped.) I can get >2ml of juice into the carts, they're easy to refill (after quite a bit of messing with them and figuring out how not to overfill, I have to admit, including burning 2 of them out), and when not somewhere convenient I can easily top off without tweazers/etc.
