Ok, been vaping since beginning of April. I have been using ato's and clero's thus far. I picked up a couple nice carto's and tanks and day number 3 of smoking them I came down with a terrible case of strep throat. My throat was swollen really bad and it hurt to talk/swallow anything... Coincidence? or Think I may be allergic to something in carto's? I like the way the carto's taste though compared to the clearo's and I bought like 3 or 4 carto tanks... Thoughts?

Since strep is a normally occurring bacteria in the human body, and because both VG and PG are bacteriostatic, it's unlikely that your vaping had anything to do with it. Everyone has strep, it's just a question of whether it gets out of hand from time to time, depending mostly on the immune system, and what we ingest that occasionally gives it a kick start. Best of look, get Well! Vape On!

My throat used to get really dry and sore when I first started vaping. I reduced my nic levels in my juices about half, and never had that problem again. I do not know if it was from my nic level or not. but no problems since then.

I also forgot to mention, The juice I was vaping when I first started was coming from a place in china, that has bad reviews i later discovered. I only buy juices from reputable places now like MEL and others here in the states now. It could have been something in the cheap juices I had when I first started.

Well, just took a puff on a carto (haven't since last week), now that I'm feeling better and about 5 mins later my throat is hurting again... Either its just in my head or I'm sensitive to something in them... Guess no more carto's for me...

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the carto. Considering eliquid dehydrates you, it is more likely the strep throat combined with vaping regardless of the delivery system.

Maybe your juice has something to do with it? I've heard of people having throat problems because they're oversensitive / allergic to PG. Idk if that's the case with u, just a thought.

Could be I suppose. The same juice in my kanger protank or my vivi nova taste fine and no throat issues. I have an addiction to gatorade and it's always sitting next to me so, dehydration is not the issue either...
