Where have you been all my life?

Been vaping one of my new IBT's that came today & I'm loving it. So much better than the Kanger. After I clean it, I'm going to get rid of it to someone who doesn't glare at it every few minutes. I'm pretty sure I caught it disrespecting the Stealth. Or perhaps it duct-taped itself to that chair. Who knows?

I've said it before... I never really liked carto's or my 3 Kanger Protanks from the start, nor the 3 EVODS or 5 Mini T3's... I just followed the advice of an early mentor when I bought them. They got me by on all the Segelei gear when they weren't sporting atty's, but they will never see a life at all on the ProVari's. Like the Sigelei's they are on vacation (and it's leaning toward retired permantently).

My dive into carto tanks recently was with an IBT, now I have 2 of them with an extra tube. Not impressed with the paint jobs. :2c: But the tanks work flawlessly with the carto's I started with from them after I repunched them. They are pretty much all I have used the last 3+ weeks other than the Megalodon with an atty for dripping.

My next three carto tanks are in work from Phiniac, and will all probably be driven by Diver atty's. I'm very confident that they will be exceptional tanks, and with more of them to follow.

So between the flawless service of the ProVari's, and carto tanks that allow a lot of power vaping between refills, it has been vape heaven (even without building coils).

Exactly what I said when I change to cartos!!In my case, a few months ago I took the suggestion of Baditude and got an IBTanked, Awesome!! then again I took his suggestion and bought Ikenvape cartos after using boges for a while and I was in Vape heaven. If you haven't tried Ikenvape cartos give them a try, they are awesome but not easy to come by, you might have to put yourself in a notification list but IMO they are great cartos.

Long story short.

Started with Stick batts and Protanks, moved up to some Mechs and the MVP 2.0.. Loved them.

Got a couple IBtanked setups from a friend for 30 bucks, felt like I got a good deal but to me the cartos made a MESS and flooded constantly etc. I got mad and said screw it. Started rebuilding my kanger heads with nano coils and just could not shake the burnt taste from higher power. I was spoiled because for the breif time that the carto's did work they produced a great vape around 8 watts for me.

Found a Provari on this forum for what I felt was a great deal (127 shipped for a mint V2 with V1 Hippo ring)... Now I fell in love. I fell hard. I have two more Provari's on their way to my house in a few days, both V2.5's. So In the interim I have been messing again with carto tanks and finally got the hang of it. They really are easy when you get it down on priming and whatnot. The 19mm XL IBtanked on top of my Provari is by far my favorite setup to date. It just rocks. When I want stupid clouds and insane TH then I use my RBA's on top of my mechs for drinking night, but for daily use this provari/carto tank setup is going to be hard to beat.

IVe got Boge slotted, laser punched, unpunched that I punch myself, Ikenvape V2 3mm hole cartos, and some unknown ones. I am now waiting on Ikenvape to put the V2 back up so I can order them.

What is everyone's favorite voltage? IF my atomizer is around 2.2 ish I am running at 4.0V...

i have one ibtank and 8 smok dct!

Do you, ahem, fiddle with your thingy? :D

So easy, but I feel I have to add a little to the top of the carto itself with the toothpick method after I get it mostly full with the thingy.

I feel a little bad. I didn't know Phiniac was a Montana company until after I ordered from IBT. I 100% agree that the IBT's are nice, but the paint job quality is embarrassing.

I like the Smok single coil 3.2 ohm dual punched Carto's best......Dont want to dog Ikenvape, but have not had the success rates with those as I do with the Smok. I order my Smoks from IBTanked.

Its really a funny thing too .... Some love Boges and hate Smok.......Some hate Boges.....etc....etc...... and love Ikenvape.

I ordered 100 bucks worth of Ikenvape fusion single coil 2.5? dual punched.....right after the sight went back up. Maybe its just a China manuf thing, but I just had such a poor batch that Im sticking with Smok.

It seems maybe I am the only one ? Oh well......... BUT I DO LOVE CARTO'S....just convenient

I know a least one person who did not care for IKV cartos, so it's just not you. Since you invested in such a large number and the ones you've used haven't met your expectations, I'd contact Isaac at Ikenvape and see if he will work out some kind of deal for you. You may prefer the Platinum series more.

He once sent me low resistance instead of standard resistance, which were too harsh for this cooler vape person. I sent him an email and he offered to exchange them. I decided to make a trade with a local vapor who uses LR carts for some e-liquid instead.

I just bought 20 Fusion LR ones since everything else was out of stock. I sure hope I like them, though if it's just a harsher vape, I probably will. I've been using the Smok 3.2 ones and they seem good to me. I'm one of those that never returns anything so if I totally hate them, I'll PIF them.

To Susan W.........

They do have a very good taste at first. Just be carefull..... I vape them at 3.3 to 3.4 volts. If I accidentally have my Pro-V at 3.8 or 3.9, it will ruin the LR fusions pretty quickly (burn the filler)......my experience anyway.

To all......

I gotta tell you all something thats just so funny to me. I go hang out at my local B&M (Steam Cigs) .....a great buch of vapers.......great hang out. Anyway....99.9 percent of anyone that has been vaping for more than a month or so that hangs out there uses RBA's. The store will teach you at the drop of a hat how to re coil or rebuild just about anything.

Well, Im the only vaper that goes in there with my Carto's and all pre filled as many of us do. We sit arounf big round table and they look at my Cato tanks like they are a mystery. I just smile and pass mine around (happens every time I go in)....any they are usually amazed and want to know more about them.

Sometimes the old stuff is the good stuff. They are just so Damn convenient and have a great taste...... you just have to understand them.

I guess humanity has a tendency to believe the newest technology is always the best technology. Sometimes the wheel just doesn't NEED to be reinvented because it's already great, you know?

Phiniac was a natural for me as I have spent A LOT of time in their area. I did business with Western Montanans for 10 years all through the 80's. I enjoyed spending much of my free time doing outdoor activities with them as well, both on business trips and trips just for the activities. Amounted to months a year in the area with the individual trips added up - a large share of my year IAMA I did business in all the western states from the Dakota's to West Texas to AK & HI. I almost bought 40 acres to build a "summer" home on by the Swan River. Love western MT almost as much as western WY that I spent countless time in all my life until I retired and moved to the desert. We had family cabins at Island Park (ID) and near Jackson Hole.

Sorry, this link only works for MT & WY residents. ;)

Good looking fish, but the Gallatin is just like that :) My house is a 2 minute walk from the river. A lot of people don't realize that a lot of the river scenes from 'A River Runs Through It' were filmed on the Gallatin, not over by Missoula/Lolo. It's gorgeous in the summer. We've got about 9" of snow on the ground now (but there's still a few fisherman out there). I'm just north of the canyon up to Big Sky.
