cartridge too big....

hi,

I am a 510 user. I have some cartridges that are too big even though they are supposed to be for the 510. some may have been blanks that came with attys, I'm not sure.

I did a search of the forum - one suggestion was to heat a nail and push a bump into the side of the cart. I tried that and wasn't successful. I also recall reading about using a fingernail file, but can't find that thread again, so I did try filing the top of the cart that goes in the atty, but that didn't help either.

are there any other solutions? it's annoying when the cart falls on the floor, reminds me of dropping ashes, and I hate throwing anything away.

actually the carts are too small!

Is it like they can just slide out? I've ran into this before. I took a pair of pliers and a sock and pinched the atty just a bit to help. I've found that it's the atomizer that's too large rather than the cart too small. Do you have other attys to try them on?

thanks, yes, they fit some attys and some they fall out of. I am not organized enough to keep the attys and carts that fit each other together. but maybe I'll have to get organized somehow! it's not a huge problem, just aggravating <g> I might fiddle with the atty as you suggest

You can use a paperclip, pushpin- scratch up near where the cart meets the atty when it's inserted. Scratch about 5 lines around. works great. I keep all my carts, caps, and filler together, then I try the fit of the cart first, then cap, then filler.
