Carts for EGO / BLU Atomizer

Hello Everyone,

As I said in a previous post, I am new to vaping. I have tried the 901 which I am currently using now, Per some of your advice and to try things out, I just ordered an eGo starter kit and a BluCigs starter kit. From everything I have read and seen, the Ego seems like it is going to be the one I like the most as it seems to produce the most vapor, which most is important to me (this 901 sucks for VP). My eGo should be here tomorrow. However, with the eGo starter kit, I just noticed that Janty only gives you 5 Carts filled with RY4. I am going to want to try out some other liquids that I ordered from TastyVapor. My question is...

(Q1) Where do you guys suggest I get the blank carts for the eGo from.

From what I hear the eGo is a 510 with a bigger battery.

(Q2) So, will any blank 510 carts do?

Janty sells Ego Refill Carts, but on the dropdown it says "Density (HIGH-16mg). So, my other question is...

(Q3) What does this mean? If they are blank carts, what is the 16mg?

Also, I ordered the eGo in white (battery and atomizer). The carts they give you with the starter kit are white in the picture, but the same refill cart option on their website, doesn't allow you to pick a color. Then again, I guess this doesn't matter if I have the white cart cover on the eGo.

As far as the BluCig starter kit I ordered, it doesn't look like they sell blank carts for this device on their website.

(Q4) Is there anywhere I can get blank carts for this device?

Any suggestions along with answers to my questions would be much appreciated. I obviously have some questions and don't want to order blank carts, unless I know I am getting the right ones.

Thank You all in advance. This forum has been very helpful.

Lou

2) Any 510 cart will fit the eGo

3) The 16 mg refers to the Nic level usually.. Don't make much sense to give a blank cart a nic level though.

Agreed.

Liquidxpress is now selling 510 cartomizers if you want to give those a spin and just about every supplier sells 510 atomizers and carts.

Hope this helps!

As always...thanks...

(1) Cartomizers include the Atomizer, right? So, when using a cartomizer, you bypass the atomizer and just screw the cartomizer to the battery?

(2) So basically, anything that will fit a 510, will fit the eGo...? Carts atomizers, atomizers, etc....

(3) How about the BLU device? Anywhere I can get blank carts for this device? Can I reuse the carts with this as well?

I am not so sure I should have bought the blucig device. However, I do like the devices that look exactly like a cigarette, which is why I decided to try this one.

I am really excited to get my eGo. I think it's due to arrive today. I am getting really sick of the poor vapor production with this 901.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

Right indeed!

http://www.volcanoecigs.com/ they sell blanks for models like the blu (l88b model if I recall). They are the exact same thing just a different supplier.

Glad to hear you're gonna be your Ego 'Poppa' soon! As I said before, you're gonna LOVE it!

Onto your questions...
1) yes, they just screw onto the battery! I still haven't had a chance to try them for myself, my order from liquidxpress probably won't arrive until next week. 8-o

2) Yes.

3) Don't know, don't have a Blu, but I'm sure someone will jump in with an answer for you in no time

Blu doesn't sell blanks (that I know of), but Volcano does. They are basically the same e-cigarette. Visit the Volcano site, you will see that their prices tend to be a bit cheaper as well.

PS: Volcano's stock carts work better than blu as well. I continue to buy blu batteries because I like the blue LED. ;)

Just search for Volcano e-cigarettes in your favorite search engine.

EDIT: Oops, everyone is too quick for me... :)

I think this was the only question that hasn't been answered yet.

I went by their site, and quite frankly it just doesn't make sense why it says 16mg. No color option either. But, as other folks have said, you can use any 510 cart on your eGo. Cignot, for example, carries white here.

To inject a bit of opinion now; I started on a Blucig as well, and thank God they have the 30-day guarantee. Mine got RMA'd for a full refund (woot), and I'm now enjoying my Tornado. Absolutely no comparison whatsoever between the two. The blu just has a very metallic taste to it and are just too dry right out of the box. I assume the metal taste is due to the foil in their carts, but either way the blu just sucked imo. My bet is that you'll love the eGo.

One more thing, if you want to take your eGo to the next level, may I suggest low resistance atty's from nhalercom. I've got that setup and all I can say is :w00t:
They are actually better then the attys that come with the eGo?

I just got my eGo and I freaking love it! This knocks the balls off the 901. I can't wait to try out some different flavor liquids...

Thanks for all your help guys!!

Your blu attys will also fit the ego threading (blu works with 510s - 510s work with blu - have friends that own blus and we played mix and match parts, and an ego is just a better 510 batt) so I wouldn't call the blus a total waste of money. If the stock flavors aren't good enough, you can always empty them and refill with your choice of yum.

Sammie,

Thanks for your honesty and your assistance. Yea, that doesn't make much sense with their carts. As I said previously, I love my eGo. Great device with lots of VP. LOVE IT. :thumb:

Lori,

Excellent. You just read my mind. I was going to ask that exact question. Definetly will try out everything with all the devices that I have. Will probably use the Blu battery for my car and for "on the go" vaping.

pdd,

You use the blu battery with the Valcano atty and carts? I was thinking about getting some blanks from volcano for my blu device... Just confirming they will work...

They do. I own a few volcs, but I was unimpressed with them - especially when compared to my 510. Of the two, I honestly would recommend the blu batt over the Volc. From my own personal experiences, the volc auto batt is way too sensitive, mine was flashing away while I was still opening the shipping package. Gently blowing from a foot away triggers it, sudden movement, looking at it funny..

@Louie,

Yes, blu and Volcano are the same models, but Volcano stock carts are better. (I think it's their filler). All parts are interchangable...

Also, if you want different color batteries and/or manual batties, the SideSho batteries work with blu and Volcano attys. The only problem is they are longer so they don't "play" as nice with the PCC. ;)
