Okay. I drip only. I take the filling out of my carts and just use them as mouth pieces. I've been using the same mouthpiece for a while now cause I've noticed carts are really inconsistent in size an length- some won't fit on and some are too long and melt right away so when I find a good one I keep it. This mouth piece is in very good condition. Been using it a couple weeks (bout 1 1/2)

Anyway I noticed today that I'm dripping a lot more frequently because it seems my atty is dry- I get that burnt taste and think it's dry so I drip a few more drops. I just now got the idea that maybe my mouth piece is melting so I tested that by seeing when I get that dry taste and then taking the mouth piece off and vaping directly from the atty, and guess what- atty is NOT DRY!!

What would cause a good cart to randomy start melting when it has never melted before??

IMPORTANT NOTES: I make sure to align up the cart to the atty correctly every time I put it back on, that's not the problem. Also I'm vaping at 3.7v on a screwdriver using 510 LR attys.

Thanks in advance and PS: HELP!!! ahhh!

I had the same thing happen while using the LR atty, it gets hot fast and the cart is thin...you should really consider getting a drip tip, you won't have to worry about melting carts anymore. I use the plastic drip tip, it is thicker than a cart and i no longer worry about melting plastic...good luck
Drip tips are on my next to buy list believe it or not! I trimmed down my cart end since I don't need it for polyfill anymore and that fixed it! But it's such a damn drag fooling with anything plastic on e-cigs. Screw that. Getting my drip tip. Yeeuh. But anyway... There are some plastic and silicon drip tips, should I just go with a delrin?

I stayed away from the metal drip tips cause i figured i'd probably knock out my teeth at some point. I got the delrin and haven't had any problems with it, other than it seems to work better with LR attys than it does with regular. But that could just be me, i've gone thru about 4 LR attys this week..ouch.. I didn't know there was a silicone drip tip, but i would think that would work just as good.

You could cheap out and get some clear 3/8 poly tubing. around a buck A foot and cut off a piece and slide over you atty.:D:D
