Done. The instructions make it seem more difficult than it is...so just jump in folks, and you will see!

BTW I estimated 250K different combinations, but I do believe Jman is correct, there are many more than I was considering if you think of extra flavor, double flavor shots, menthol, extra menthol, light menthol, etc.

As I'm Canadian and reside in Canada, can I do this call to action #2?

Am thinking you should and in the narrative could you include something about being a bad influence on your neighbor?

Eh, um Canada is outraged it is interfering with Hockey Night. eh?

Talyon, what is the status up there on liquid nicotine for DIY, is it still a no go?

I'd like to point out, as a possible baseline on numbers, that one overseas wholesale/retail vendor shows (on its website) 8,295 SKUs for e-cigarettes (hardware) and 3,100 for eliquids. The latter does not, to the best of my knowledge, figure in any variants, such as added menthol or flavor shots, which would double, triple, etc. that number. And the former hardware number includes kits, which include several separate products, each of which, according to the FDA, would require a separate PMTA.

FDA's still trying to fit the ecig peg into the cigarette hole...

Yeah... I would also like to see those that are Not a Member of CASAA to get an e-Mail also.

And Frankly, am a Bit Surprised that Very Few Vendors have sent out ANY Kind of e-Mails regarding the FDA.

I am, too.

Help us...help you, vendors!

Canadians, your comments should be well valuable IMO as many Canadians come down to the states for things all the time and what happens here will reflect on what may happen there as I am not sure what Canadian regulations are at this point but I have not heard good things. As someone from the US I really appreciate you guys looking into this enough to care whats going on here as this may very well set the stage for more world wide type of regulations. But the way the FDA has come about this so ruthlessly and confused I don't see how they could even get this regulation through as it is just full of crap and any person with a brain can figure out that they are mislead or lying every chance they get to pull straws. If they cant get any science behind it they say its to protect the children... so screw all of the adults that have quite cigarettes and enjoy vaping very much? as it is our right to be able to do this, not their decision. If I had a kid at the age of 16-18 who is definitely going to end up trying an ecig or a cigarette as almost everyone does during the expiramental phase I would want them to use the ecig and be able to regulate a low nic level and not get addicted terribly to smokes and be able to quit vaping very easily if they do become addicted. To the OP I got the email and thank everyone here for helping me get an idea of how I want to respond

Thanks to all of you who've answered the Call to Action . . . still time to do it for those who haven't. ;)

CASAA emailed its comment to OMB/OIRA this evening (and also filed it as a comment to FDA). We blogged our comment so as to share the content with our members: http://blog.casaa.org/2014/05/casaas-comment-to-omboira-regarding.html

Also, my apologies for not responding to the question about where the number 25 is derived from. (It is from Table 9 of the Proposed Regulations.) As I'm sure you can imagine, we're crazy-busy right now, and it doesn't look like the insanity is going to let up anytime soon.

And back to the top...

Maybe a friendly reminder to give non-vaping friends and family a friendly reminder to pitch in?

Doneski.

Julie, just wanted to say I thought CASAA's comment (per your blog link) was fricken excellent. Concise, articulate, and directly addresses the largest concerns in a very professional manner. I of course don't mean for this to sound condescending whatsoever...I just think it's great that our collective concerns about all of this were presented so that they may be taken seriously (hopefully) by those that will ultimately be deciding on this stuff. :)

In addition to the comment above about getting non-vapers to help out, I think it's important to remind people to donate to CASAA when and how they can. :thumb:
