Reviving this thread because I just received my bottle of Casa after reading all the hype about it lately. Back when I first started buying BWB juices, I bought a bottle of this and just never could get into the flavor, even after it steeps for MONTHS. I thought this time, well, maybe my taste buds have changed and I'll like it now. Well....I DO, I DO!! This stuff is GREAT right out of the package and can't imagine what it'll be after a bit of steeping  Goin' in for another bottle when Don gets back from vacation and makes some more of this stuff ;)

I really, really enjoy Casablanca. I don't know about anyone else but I get a rich, almost peanut-buttery savor at the back of my mouth that I find especially satisfactory and no other juice provides anything quite like it. Casablanca has excellent TH, near-top-of-the-chart vapor production on any equipment I own and a unique, deliciously satisfying flavor.

I'd vape this juice all day for days on end if I could only find cartomizers that would last more than 2-3 top-offs using it or an atomizer it couldn't gunk-up in less than a single day. No other juice I've tried, from any manufacturer, including other BWB flavors, can clog up airways as quickly and completely as Casablanca. Thorough cleaning seems to revive my atomizers but once Casablanca has its way with it I never get a good draw out of that cartomizer again.

Still, I will NOT give up this excellent e-juice. As it stands, I treat myself to it only about once a week. I pick out a brand new (virgin) carto for "sacrifice", fill it with Casablanca before I go to bed at night and pick it up the next morning with my first cup of coffee. <Aaaahhh... THIS is gonna be a good day!> I'll pull in another prefilled carto of some other flavor from my normal rotation here and there, just for variety, but I know that by bedtime that evening or sometime during the following day, my Casablanca carto will inevitably become so difficult to draw that I'll have to discard it. If I'm really feeling flush, I'll have 2 Casablanca Days in a single week but I'm currently underemployed (meaning: unemployed for so long I've dropped off the official government rolls but making enough as a freelancer that I don't have to live in a cardboard box or a trailer park). More than 2 single-day-usage cartos per week just seems too wasteful.

I generally use low resistance cartos on ego-style batteries (3.2- 4.0 volts, mostly 3.7). I'm fond of Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers, 1.7ohm "Resurrectors" (made by Smoktech, I suspect, sold by CCV) and DCCs (either clear or steel, probably Smoktech, again, though everybody rebrands them) @ ~1.5ohm.

I'm starting to suspect Casablanca can only perform properly on standard or HV resistances (on my low-voltage batteries) but I don't have the inventory to test that theory.

So I'm posting to this thread as a Casablanca fanboy, yes, but also in the hope that other people who love this flavor are either not experiencing my clog-up problem (what magical cartomizer do you use on what mod and how "hard" do you vape it?) or have found a way to prevent this gunk-up (Do tell, please?).

I stick to dripping as well, using Provari with either HV io6 or HV 510's and haven't had nearly the trouble with gunking up/bad draw/dead atties that I have with other juices (mainly other vendors). I never got into using LR atomizers so I can't confirm/deny the issue but Casablanca (along with every other BWB juice I own) is vaping spectacularly with a VV setup.

Don't get me wrong, they gunk up a little sometimes just due to being in use so much but I blow out the atomizers when I'm noticing anything out of the ordinary with the vapor production, flavor, throat hit etc...There is definitely some very dark residual liquid that I guess is either partially vaped or the remainder of juice thats been completely vaped that can build up and wreak havoc on "good drags".

The only juice I struggle with in this setup is malty, just because I have to take the drip tip off so it doesn't take 10 mins for malty's thick golden-sludge-of-gods to reach the coil.

I've been vaping a lot with the 2.0 ohm Boges and they've been working fine for me. I've been refilling a carto with Casa in it for about a 3 weeks now and had no problems. I'm more fond of dripping, but I take the cartos to work with me.

I think I hate you. ;)

Seriously, though, Boge 2.0's are among my favorites (vapin' one now, in a tank, on it's 2nd week ...different juice, of course.) and Casablanca can clog one in as little as 4 hours. (Come to think, I never tried Casablanca in a tank. Maybe that'd help?)

Now, I'm a chain-vaper so, even with my other 4 favorite flavors in carto-rotation, I don't usually get more than 2 weeks out of a single carto before I flush it repeatedly with HOT tap water using a modified syringe, follow that with a few Ethyl alcohol flushes, pump it dry and retire it to my "I'll re-use these someday soon" zip-lock freezer bag.

A Casa-clogged carto, though, still won't draw worth a darn after that cleaning, and a further boiling and re-flushing doesn't help, either. Sticking foreign objects through the center air tube has killed a few but otherwise been useless. If I don't have two bad 30ml bottles, purchased several weeks apart, I must be doing something that is peculiarly and specifically unkind to this juice.

<sigh>

My last bottle of casablanca was a horrible! I had a really weird taste and smell, so I spent the money to send it back to Don and I think he sent me the same bottle back, I was really dissappointed in it so now I am afraid to order more. Mind you every other bottle that I received was just wonderful! He said maybe it got to hot in the mail but I order alot of juice and never had a bottle spoil!

Well, maybe I can chalk my problems up to inconsistency but I don't think my bottles were "spoiled" in any way. I've bought 3 bottles of Casablanca, and they all TASTED exactly the same (delicious) to me. I bought a 15ml bottle to try it out, back when I was first starting to vape, back in May (2011). I liked it the flavor quite a lot and I don't recall any specific problems with it. OTOH, I was just learning and everything was a little bit problematic. I ordered a 30ml bottle in June and another in July (had some cash, wanted to stock-up). On closer examination of my email receipts, I see the 2 30ml bottles were purchased only 2.5 weeks apart, not "several months". <Senior Moment>

If nothing else, I'm a determined old fart and I REALLY like this flavor. I've broken out a brand new 1.5ohm atomizer in the hope that simple periodic blow-outs will prevent the clogging. This is all mildly frustrating but at least I'm having another Casablanca Day :) !

I think its very possible the heat spoiled your juice. now that you mention it, this may have happened to my newest RY4 bottle as I could have sworn it was tasting weird as of late. Especially with how terrible the USPS is operating around me lately, (1 day shipping has turned into about a week for most of my recent orders) and it being summer and all, heat can definitely ruin juices and I have experienced this in the past by my own mistakes.

I know for next summer to stock up before it gets hot lol

If the post office causes delay for your Juices to get to you, then my bet is on the heat causing the problems LeAnn.

Any chance of getting another delivery option, like 2nd Air? I was antsy all day yesterday, since my mail carrier doesn't even try anymore. He just crams boxes into the mail slot (or not) and hopes for the best. Heaven knows how hot my box go yesterday. HFN, Nutty, and Malty came through fine, but the Casablanca.... PHWARR what a pong! I'm hoping it'll settle down with some steep time, but I dunno... Tried vaping some in a carto, and I doubt that smell is ever coming out. Maybe cutting it with some Malty and Backo will help?

EDIT: No sooner do I post this, and your avatar changes to a skunk. :) *snert*

I've never tried Casablanca before, and maybe it's supposed to be like this (o_0), but in any case, as my dogs are fond of saying, it was....RUFF *rimshot*

I'll be here all week!
/Tip the veal! Try your waitress!

LOL...Ghost:)
Maybe its something we can bring up when Don gets back about the postal options...right now my hands are tied, but I will check into it. In the mean time...shake that casa real good & set it aside for a week , then come back to it....Malty should be a good one to blend in with it as well.

'S Cool. I've still got 9 other bottles to tide me over till it steeps a bit. :)

I'll ask Don about the shipping when he gets back. It's been Gates of Hell hot here for the last few months, and probably won't cool down until about 1 week before we get Snowmageddon.

Which is why I'm so ...... at the USPS right now. My order shipped the 23rd, and it generally comes next day or in 2 days if they're slacking ( I live really close to Don ) and its now the 30th and they're still holding it! It's been like half an hour away "in transit" for a few days now, and the hurricane is no excuse because it should have been here way before that. I have like 50ml of juice and a 306 atty coming, and I'm assuming only the 306 atty is going to be usable after all the time the package has spent in the heat :( oh well, can't win 'em all.
