Yep - twisted rocks. Love the heat management and it feels purpose built for the Mephi (which, BTW, I don't have any issues using 28g with if you insert the wire at a diagonal a la Kiwi's technique).
I love twisted! I have 3x twisted 30 and works great in my Mephisto. The thickness of the twisted is a little more than 26g but heats and cools much quicker than the 26.

Those twisted look great Unsure! I'd stick with those. Claptons were a complete let down and a waste of time and wire! The heat up time was terrible even at low ohms. Then once it gets hot enough it takes forever to cool down. Don't get me wrong mine looked awesome but performance was terrible. And everybody I heard that tried said the exact same thing! Stick to those PERFECT twisted you are doing!

I'd like to give that a try, too, but I'm going to have to find some YouTube videos in how to do it or just buy premade Clapton. I saw a site somewhere that had it.

My new to me REO (thanks to brookj1986) rocking the Catfish'd Derringer. Is there still room on the Derringer list? I may need another one.

Glad it got a nice new home. I tried to do a little polish on the tumbled sl door before I sent it so it'd really shine for you when you opened it.

Derringer just fits so nicely on there!

Thanks for the heads up. I have started one but from what you said it will probably be my last especially since my coils are about 1.3Ω. :)

Thanks! I'd seen vids but didn't know if the clones came with the same thing. Sorry for all the noob questions. Am new to rebuilding, on my way to getting a reo, and this just seems like it would be perfect, deep well for a new (to be) squonker, kinda gives me that extra hand I always wish I had when trying to get coils on. lol I'll probably end up wanting some wider bore dts with this...not sure.

Put me down for a Marquis please. Will just take me a day or two to get some $ transferred. I just opened a pp acct the other day, just watched a vid on how to send with F&F, which email do we send it to? Do y'all have delrin dt's for the marquis? If so, how much?

I wasn't aware there was Delrin Marquis tips. Send me a pm when you are ready and we will get it straightened out. I have 2 Marquis clones currently with 10 more coming tomorrow along with the Lancias.

It looked fantastic - practically brand new. Thanks again for the super deal.
