Hey Turk, can you put me on the list for a Hornet with VA pins?

And if the Reactor is going to come with AFC, I can be on the list for 2.

Thanks

They are in stock I believe , pm Tom for further info...

Also i think buttons for reo s great idea for additional business for catfish mods [emoji106]

CH, so would the Hurdy .035" and .050" handle most of the pesky L wrenches for the attys?

For the 14-19mm attys yes. Once you use the the .035" and .050 you will be hooked. I find phillips terminals to be sloppy and tiresome. I'm all hex all the time.

I have one atty I use - I have 40 different drip tips - about 7 different doors and one Reo now...

Buttons? Oh yes! Thats one accessory - like a door or drip tip - I would have handfuls of if they were available.

The buttons fit on a Peko too?

How did you get a button cover to fit on your Peko. Mine has a lip on the bottom side of the button that is inside the top cap...

Uh huh Yup I'm dumb..... Anyone...... Tom...... a little help here buddy?

Yep - the pic is of a N22.

I sanded the ends of my vertex screws to flatten them. No issues with wires cutting. Usually works a treat with most any screw that's being a pain that way.

That is the first I have heard of coil cutters on the n22. As I recall the set screws on the n22 were m3 conical. If you can make a bullet button I would imagine you could grind the conical points flat. If it were me I would source a 25 pack of m3 x 5mm grubs in stainless with flat points.

These would be better:

I started the confusion I have a vertex v2 the screws are cutting wire AND....... I wish I was that useful.... I haven't made any such thing... I'm lucky I can make a couple of coils..... Lol
So if I get that 25 pack of screws I should be good? Even if it's the VERTEX V2?

I have taken a sharpening stone and filed down the tip of the screws...

Chowderhead1972,

Just wanted to stop in and say the screws you sent for the Marquis did the trick. It's like night and day. Now it's one of the easiest vertical dual build to build that I've ever built. Between the screws and the top cap fix you posted this atty is now one of my favorites. More so even than my Veritas.

So thank you again for turning an atty that I wasn't crazy about into a winner.... yet again.

later,
Ken

Any tips or tricks to the marquis from anyone would be great appreciated. Can't wait to get one of these. Tom, what did you mean about over .4 forget it, just that they use up the battery quickly?

Honestly, I'd say "yes".
There's clearly more demand than supply for creative materials, so if you've got the gear to bang out small quantities, you could sell 'em.
I mean, all we have is 3 choices - people would buy colors, or titanium, or knurled, or flatter, or copper, etc...

ooooooooo purdy purple buttons!!! Like the resin idea too. Someone may have created monsters. lol

He's referring to what he feels is the atty's sweet spot, <.4ohms, not really anything to do with battery management. Over that resistance, and he feels it's an anemic vape. Under it, and you get thick, warm vapor.

I'd tend to agree.

Guys, can I ask how are you coiling a 22mm for a hot vape? Say the vertex.
I'm usually getting hot for small atties and clouds for 22mm atties, the vertex is getting hot all together as metal but the vapor is meh.

And again, hello Tom what's up man :D

I'm getting good flavour and vapor out of dual twisted 28g, 2mm ID, 6 wraps, for .3ohms net. Nice and warm, too.

Jeeesh people...... Talk about a free for all.

Ok so I'm going to try and clear a few things up. Chowder can correct me if I'm wrong.

Reo buttons: Chowder asked about my custom knurled button he saw in a picture I posted of my Marquis build on top of a Reo. Once I told him he couldn't get them anymore he mentioned making his own by buying an attachment that does knurling. That led into a conversation about empty ammunition shell casings which he said he could also probably do. Then he asked if people were interested in something like that. Not different colors, not different materials just what he had mentioned. Also PeKo buttons are built completely different and will not work at all like Reo buttons.

The Marquis: Chowder is of the opinion that it is an atomizer that just begs for really low builds. Higher builds (above .4) is just a waste of a build. This is an opinion... and while I agree that it works really well at super low builds it works perfectly fine at higher sub-ohms. I don't know how it would vape with a 1.2ohm build, but I imagine it would probably suck.

The Reactors: Chowder has said that he could get some more from MadzModz, but they require a minimum order of 200. He said he'd order them if he would get 160 people to agree to buy one. So someone created a list. No these Reactors do not come with an AFC. These are standard Reactors v2 that he converts to bottom feeding.

The custom atty that Chowder has mentioned is still in planning stages and has not been shopped out to see if it's even possible yet. No need to get on a list yet since they may never even be made.

Any screws that cut your wires in any atomizer should be removed and sanded on the bottom. This should keep them from not cutting your wire when building. This tip is not atomizer specific.

Holy hell people... just reading through the last 3-4 pages made my head hurt and I'm not even the one being asked the questions.

Also Chowderhead I think you should look into to making custom belt buckles that say "My Squonker  Catfish".... Someone should start a dibs list.....

I'm in the same boat....all matchy matchy with my mods. I have a boatload of drip tips. Button covers would just be one more addiction [emoji12]

I'm almost positive the vertex uses m2.5 hardware. So you would need m2.5 x 5mm flat point grubs. Or just sand down what you have, much less aggravation.
