Had to do a little ordering from Mcmaster-Carr for another project and thought these looked kind of interesting for those that my be having problems with the rem's.

McMaster-Carr

EDIT: for some reason it wont let me link directly to the page but what I was looking at are the "Extended Dog" set screws on the right.

Im challenged so I hate set screws but these look like they would be a bit easier to use. Btw, I hate you dude  Your involved with my biggest vaping regret. I had full intentions of waiting my turn on the list and only days after our transaction the price sky rocketed thru the roof out of my price range. ;)

I can understand that and while I am sorry for your regret, you may take some solace in the fact that it is loved and cherished in it's intent and is still given the care that it deserves today, tomorrow and beyond. :)

I just don't have the time for those Shenanigans... As I mentioned, I had help yesterday/ this morning he dissasembled and reassembled and I drilled and ran the ultrasonic cleaner for 12 hours each (6pm- 6am) I still don't have half of my stock ready to ship. We converted about 100 attys last night. I finally got some sleep 8am- noon and now I'm back at it. I can't deny the money is great but this is life consuming. I forgot to eat yesterday.....
I'm in Chicago or I'd love to help..... Payment in atties of course ........ I'm bored retired at 40.... 6 years now.

Now you're just showing off.... Nickel on a Remm? Perhaps I should have the Sloth send YOU one to coil... All of mine are already on the way to your house. Coil them the same way please. There's only about 40 attys to coil... You should be good right? Can I expect them back by Friday? Lol.
LOL, it was just a good build until a few min ago... My ohms went from .20 to .26 so I go in to tighten down the screws again and the same neg post that has been slicing wires sliced the wire. Go figure. Pulled out the broken coil and left the good one so I'm just using a single coil at the moment. I have a feeling that I may have to order some 3/16 grubs for the neg posts too or just wrap around the head of the screw for now on for this particular build.

And about doing 40 dual coil builds with 32awg nickel.... hell naw. I hate this wire the most, too soft, too thin, too delicate are a bad combo for my sausage fingers. It's also totally worth it tho.

Ive looked at em, was curious how they compare to the derringer though.

The Derringer will squonk better than anything other than the Remm. The Remm will always leak less. Coiling aggravation aside what do you like about the derringer and what do you see as needing improvement?

Hey Tom, what's the process for getting a a spinning Derringer post fixed?

Send it in.. If the bushing is toast it may take a while. Praxis is a nightmare to get parts from. I'm still waiting on bushings I ordered in February.

Try twisting the 32g, strengthens it, stabilizes it and comes out perfect nearly every time. Oh, and I always wrap around the screw when possible.

Dont really see anything on the derringer that needs improvement. afc wide open with brads cap is the perfect restricted lung hit for me. Great dense, wet flavorful vape. Think I'll just stick with ordering two derringers. Try to sell my barely used rematty, fsm and baal attys I got from you.
