I spent 2 hours looking for one, then 2 days waiting for a replacement, then another day all bummed that my cyclone wouldn't squonk right. The friggin missing screw was DOWN IN THE POST under the new screw.
Big Forehead Smack Moment.

Hey chowder. What's the hex key size for the cyclone grub screws...?

A certain klutz lost his.

The Cyclone uses 2mm x4mm grub screws, requires a .035" or .9mm Allen wrench.

Thanks! Just bought that.

Also thought I would share some pictures of the cyclone I got from chowder. Sooooo wonderfully done

Nice sized hole smack in the middle. Clean drill.

Drain holes. The vertical positioning is perfect and super clean, and IMO better than the factory drilled holes (from what I've seen, they have higher drainage holes):

Truth be told, I drilled the cross hole a little high on that one. My goal is to have the center of the hole level with the low point of the cupped deck on the cyclone. The Reactor is much lower to create a sump to make up for the lack of the cupped deck.

Awww now you've gone and burst my bubble... :(

But who cares! Still looks and works the bomb. You're pretty much the best thing that happened to bottom feeding since REO.

So for S&G, I rebuilt the reactor using 28 gauge Ti wire and rayon. The Ti wire is a standard, non contact coil just over 2.2 mm ID. Dual coils ~0.4 ohms. While it was a royal pain to get the wick in, it's hitting like a freight train! Drilled out the holes to 5/64. I'll rebuild it again with a smaller ID and kanthal, mainly because I was doing this as a very short term build (I still trust kanthal more). And I feel like the coils are too close to the walls of the atty.

I have those adjustables : Metric Hex Blades Wiha System 4 Screwdrivers They are just brilliant.

BTW, CH modding work is just awesome. I am just curious .... where is the love for the IGO-L? Cheapo atty, but works astonishing well. Quite frankly I have 2 Magmas and I love their flavor but hate their leaking from the AFC. The Veritas is a brilliant device, but with a deep well like that, there is no point (for me) to ask for BF modification. I like the Trident quite a bit. Hmmmm. ....

CH: I have two V2 and one V1, would you please tell me how much that would be?

My current favorites are Prometey (Titatium-mods.com) and the RM2 on the REO Grand VV. Next week my REO LP comes in and I will try a crack on an IGO.

Cheers.

I had a hell of a time when I first got my Magma with leaking. Make sure your wicks don't touch the walls at all that stopped nearly all my leaks. I put mine toward the center.

Tom, I've finally arrived to your page. Work and Family has not allowed extra time recently to browse ECF but glad to hear you are "official" now!

I can vouch for this guy all day long! He's modded 2 cyclones for me in the early days when he was still not "official" per ECF rules and mods!

Heck he also sold me my first SL/LP REO in Kawasaki Green! I also purchased a modded Atomic from him in that package deal! I eventually picked up a Black AFC cap from the classies that was once his as well! As you can see I now own lots of the gear he has parted with and thankfully they aren't sloppy seconds!

When the budget allows I will be trying other atty's so we will be in contact soon!

I got my Plume Veil and Reactor the other day from Chowder. I have been using them both and I really enjoy both of them. As always Chowder's work is first class!

The Plume Veil has multiple air flow control. It has side slots that can be used in either duel coil or single coil mode. It also has air holes on the side that come through the negative posts on each side. I have had some juice leak out of those, but nothing major. My favorite air flow control is on the top. You basically just screw the top part by twisting your drip tip. If you want to open the top air flow control, you screw the top down and thus reducing the atomizer chamber. To close it, just twist the other way. I have been using it with the to air flow control all the way open. This provides for a lot of flavor.

Just looking at the Reactor and you know it is going to be a flavor beast. And let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint.

I don't want to hijack this thread...maybe you have posted a picture of your setup someplace else? I'd be interested to see that.
Thank you.

It's not just a flavor beast, it's a cloud maker also!!! Mine has moved all the way up the chain and replaced everything else. Love it so much I sold my Cyclone!

Muzic, NatGas, and Paully: you guys are F'ing awesome. I couldn't ask for better customers or friends. Someday we will have to meet.

Pauly: that's exactly how I had the Kawi green set up in the brief time I had it, right down to the Chaplin tip.

NatGas: what did you have to make the Plumeveil leak? Room for improvement on my part?
