Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

So I have been vaping for more than three weeks after smoking 21 years and I am loving it. I have no want or urge to go back, but I am concerned about the products out there available in the world of vape. I am aware that BT is trying to get their slimy little hands in the game and that scares that crap out of me. Not only do I think they will make their product as possibly hazardous as their cash crop, but I feel they have taken enough of my health and money already. Can anybody give me a list of BT products out there so that I may avaiod them in my future puchases?

I know of the Blu and Njoy, but I am brand new at this also. I am sure some of the stuff being sold as disposables and in gas stations, etc. may have a possible connection, but wait for someone with more knowledge to advise you. The vendors on ECF are not big tobacco and others will respond soon to give you more information.

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on your step to vaping. I love the vaping and am no longer smoking cigarettes after almost 45 of smoking.

The BT players so far are:

♦Altria Group (ecig: MarkTen)
♦Reynolds America (ecig: Vuse)
♦Lorillard (ecig: Blu)
♦Imperial Tobacco (ecig: unknown, will be made under subsidiary Fontem Ventures)
♦British American Tobacco (ecig: unknown, being made under subsidiary Nicoventures)

Njoy is publicly embracing BT so they're out as well. That's all the info I've been able to find so if you spot those brands, or anything made by those companies, steer clear.

I'm not sure I understand the reluctance to BT or wonder if the association with them being the Evil Empire is misplace. In the US, the FDA is the regulator of tobacco products, not BT.

Given that governments will regulate, the legal costs and associated taxes that follow will force small shops to go under. The deep pockets of BT might be the one entity capable of saving vaping in the long run, as I see it.

Great info. Thanks for the replies. Is there any e-liquids I should be avoiding?

I'm not positive on e-liquid brands, but it's reasonable to assume these companies will keep the branding of their fluids/refills/carts consistent with their hardware so buyers can easily choose the right product. They may get sneaky with it, but at the end of the day their branding is the most important thing for them. I can already see something like "Use Vuse premium e-liquid refills for best experience" on their hardware packaging or documentation somewhere.

It's kind of complicated, in my view. Yes, BT has deep pockets. They will be able to afford testing if the FDA decides testing has to be done. BT knows that little ecig companies do not have deep pockets and most will not be able to afford testing and studies. If BT lobbies for exhaustive testing requirements, they know that this will severely limit much of their completion from small ecig companies. They will then be only competing among themselves for market share. Sure, it's capitalism, and they have a right to chase their profits. It's probably not going to be great for us though if BT manages to squash mom and pops by lobbying for steep regulations.

Now, hopefully there will be at least a few companies not associated with BT that can manage to stay afloat and offer competition. NJoy will probably be one of these, and as was mentioned above, they are playing nice with the FDA for some of the same reasons BT is.

Next to none so far. Blu was bought by Lorillard. That's pretty much it so far. The majors are trying to come out with their own e-cigs but nothing much is happening on that front. I read the Vuse (R. J. Reynolds) isn't really going anywhere. Which is probably why they've been trying to rig the laws to clear out the competition. They can't seem to make a decent e-cig so they'll be trying other tactics.

NJoy has remained independent and doesn't seem interested (at least so far) in being acquired. They seem more interested in taking on the tobacco companies. We'll see.

Some of the others have announced they want in but nothing much seems to be happening yet.

Of course, ultimately, they do control most of the tobacco. If they had any sense and decency (HA!), they could content themselves with becoming the suppliers of quality nic juice to the new industry. I doubt they'll take this route unless forced...

I think it's safe to buy from ECF approved vendors. Frankly that's where I look first.
The vendors on this forum usually do a great job taking care of their customers :) If you have a question about their products you can ask a vendor, and more likely than not, you'll get an answer. Now onto the tobacco companies. Yeah they're turd burglars. They are making quite the killing ( literally & profit) over seas. I looked at PM quarterlys months ago. They are in bed with the lobbyist politicians. Selling e cigs IMO will help them gain a better reputation a more " humane" image. If I was working in convenience stores still, and a regular was checking out a BT e cig instead of smokes....I would tell them to give it a try. Then hand over a business card from one of the vendors I use ;) Then get fired lol.

So if I avoid the cigalikes, I'll avoid BT? Okey, dokey. Can do.

Got to love this comment. (Quite funny!)

I can't speak for the USA, but certainly in the UK the only BT planned products are cig-a-likes.

However, there is one company now owned by British American Tobacco which sells e-liquid.

You can imagine the kind of replies people are getting when they ask on forums about this liquid range. :(

Id be more interested in WHO to buy from rather than who NOT to buy from..and yes Big Tobacco can be the savior for Ecigs and businesses as long as they get a piece of the pie....FDA is the judge and jury, not BT..but BT has more pull than all of us collectively, 1000x over...so why not recognize that and use it to our advantage....I'm not fighting the biggest kid in the sandbox, I'm going to try and use him as my best bud to do my fighting for me..and throw him a lil bone now and then to keep him happy

Big Tobacco, Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Boogeyman behind every corner.

It's as bad as you think and they're out to get you, right?

Just buy the products that provide the utility you want at a price you like, and don't worry about who sold it to you.

No paranoia here. :)

If a tobacco company wants to sell e-liquid, I'll buy it, I just shan't recommend it to those that wish to avoid it.

I never really had a problem with tobacco companies anyway....people (in the UK) hold them responsible for the price, but that's actually a government issue. People had/have a problem with the "history", I never complained about that either, we all knew smoking was bad for us back in the 80s and 90s.
