Im no expert with these, in fact, I just popped one in for the first time tonight and have been experimenting with them.

Out of the box, they are complete crap.

But, I have found through some experimenting a very simple (almost too simple) way of getting these to work really well.

1. Take a paper clip (or anything for that matter that will fit inside the rubber seal on the mouth end of the carto) and put it in the center hole of the rubber seal and pry it out. Put it to the side.

2. Underneath is a rubber O ring, pry that out as well and put it to the side.

3. Underneath that is a rubber cap, be somewhat careful here but pry that out as well (dont jab into the hole, gently slip it into the hole and pry upwards gently). Once removed, toss it, you wont need it anymore.

4. Now, very carefully fill with your e-liquid of choice by tipping the carto at a 45% angle and dripping into the sidewall of the clear tube (avoid the center, you want the fluid going down the side wall).

5. Once filled, take the rubber 'O' ring from Step 2 and push it back into the carto until it is sitting on top of the center post that goes up the center of the atty.

6. Lastly replace the rubber mouthpiece. There will be a small gap between the O ring and the mouthpiece (because we removed the cap from the carto).

It will wick fantastically and produce more vapor than anything I have used (although it is pretty close to standard 510 cartos). The flavor is ok (not as good as 510 cartos). The draw is a bit more airy than the 510 cartos. The CE2s hold significantly more liquid than the 510 cartos. So there are some trade offs between the 510 cartos and the CE2s.

This method allows me to refill without a syringe (although you do need something sharp, pointy, and thin to pry the cap and O ring off).

I havent had any leaking problems with this and allows plenty of juice to get to the heating element.

One thing to note, if it starts to taste a bit dry, just tip the ecig upside down for a few seconds.

Id be curious if anyone has any trouble with this...

And as a side note, if anyone knows the approximate use life out of these, Id love to know that too. Ive heard between 1-2 weeks if you vape 2-3 refills a day.

I do alot of the same thing but I replace the filler gasket that has the small holes it after modification. I tried just replacing the washer but it's more prone to leaking if I take it on the go and don't use the filler gaslet. If I'm at my desk and can keep it upright I don't worry about it.

After removing the plug, washer and filler gasket I use either a paper cilp with a curved end or sharp pointed tweezers to raise and fluff the wick a little bit...youtube has some videos on this. Then I cut a upside down V shape in the filler ring to make the slits for the wick higher and wider. I replace that just far enough that it fits completely around the cup and makes a good seal and it never touches the wicks again. Best Method I've found and easy, plus once I cut a filler gasket I can use the same one on other CE2s and don't have to cut em again.

That's probably the best thing about these, they can be modded and played with so many ways. Of course if they would just get them to where they work every time as designed we wouldn't need to.

I've tried this with the CE2 clearo's...No go, The juice is there but i still get a lot of burning/nasty taste. Tried 3 diff methods on 3 diff clearos

Me too Mikey. When I first got mine, I filled it according to the instructions and it was grossly unvapable. I watched all the YouTube vids about how to remove the inner silicone ring with the fill holes. I tried every which way and that thing will not come out. So, I put them in a bag to list in the classifieds. Then I read this and another recent post about how good they are. I figured maybe the one I tried was just a dud. I still had it and decided to give it another taste test and it fair. I decided to add a different butterscotch that was sweeter to see if I could brighten it up. I filled it and the first vape was great. I figured maybe they just needed to sit for a couple weeks after filling to wick properly and get the right taste. So, I opened a new one and filled it. This one tasted perfect. Then after about 10 drags on each, it became the nasty, gross, chemical/burnt taste I knew and hated. I'm letting them sit upside down to see if it helps, but I doubt it. They were definitely a waste of money. Hopefully I'll sell/trade my remaining 3 and recoup some of my loss.
