Okay, I'm a newbie member. But not a newbie to E-cigs. Been vaping for about 4 months.
Anyways, I'm sure most people are familiar with the Cap fill method for the Cartomizers?
Where you pull the end cap off the mouthpiece, and fill it with whatever e-liquid or e-liquid flavor mixture you concoct.
Then push the connector side of the carto down into the filled cap to fill it up?
This works. But I've been doing it awhile and perfected a method.
Anyways, take an empty cap, fill it with liquid mixture all the way full.
Then take your carto, and pull the mouthpiece tip out. Push the mouthpiece tip down into the Rubber cap tip full of e-liquid first.
Then slowly pull it out. The Rubber cap with liquid should be about half gone now, and half full. However you look at it.
Now this time push the cartomizer into the rubber cap full of liquid, with the cartomizers connector end first. You should be able to look down the top of the carto if you still left the mouthpiece tip off and see the liquid oozing through the center tube into the surrounding Filler.
Slowly pull it back out, using a twisting motion. Pop the mouthpiece back on the carto.
Now the last part requires a paper towel.
Put your mouth on the mouth tip part of the carto, and blow out any excess liquid through the connector end, into the paper towel. Just about a good strong 1 second blow. You don't want to blow too much liquid out.
Then take the paper towel and dab out any excess liquid in the carto's connector tip.
Now the last part is important. This time, put your mouth on the connector end of the cartomizer, and blow out to where you feel air coming out of the mouthpiece end. Very little to no liquid should blow out of the actual cartomzier.
What this does though, is clear the liquid out of the center tube part of the built in atomizer, so the heating element isn't soaked with liquid. And you don't end up flooding it, and inhaling piping hot liquid. Which can be bad for your throat.
If you do all this properly. vaping with cartomizers is a breeze. Just takes some getting used to.
I'm vaping with an 808 battery and cartos. I get a ton of vapor production out of them. I find that the empty cartos I buy, last me about 4 refills before the Flavor starts dieing off.
I never get the burnt taste because I never let them dry out. But I can tell when the flavor starts to fade away, from a Carto nearing the end of it's life. Last me 4-6 refills. Which equates to 3-6 days.
Essentially, filling the carto from both sides, and blowing out from both sides works best. But it matters in which order.
In summary.
Cap fill method.
Push the carto in the Cap full of liquid, mouthpiece end first.
2. Push the carto in a second time into the cap full of half liquid, connector end of carto.
3. Blow into the mouthpiece end of carto, for hard 2 seconds. Then dab connector end dry with paper towel
4. and Last step and most important. Blow into the connector end of carto, to clear the heating element cylinder of excess liquid.
Make sure, connector side is dabbed dry of liquid, make sure the connector end of your battery is dry of any liquid. Screw on the carto and vape away.
