Today I got some CE2 carto's,

3.0 OHM resistance, XL and on a Riva 501..

I have to say these are by far the best carto i've ever used.

GREAT throat hit, the vapour is outstanding and the taste is the best yet

I am using Gorilla juice from alien vapes which is fairly thick so curious as to why they have such a negative rep? So far I have not tasted anything but delicious juice and ive been vaping all dayyyyy, !

Is your juice 100% VG? I hear Alien juice is. I've been hesitant to try the CE2's because I use 80% VG and I'm not sure if they'll wick properly. Right now, I'm using CE3's which wick from the bottom and I love them. Unfortunately, they got so much hate from people too dumb to figure out how to fill them without leaks that they've been discontinued, and now they're hard to find. When they run out, I'm gonna want another filler-free carto to replace them. Fluxomizers work the same way as CE2's with the coil at the top, so they'll have the same problem if thick juice keeps them from working right.

I would seriously try them.

The thing is I was put off by all the negative reviews but I can safely say if you have a 650 mah battery (Or something similar to the voltage etc) then get the CE2 (model 6) version clearomizers. They work with 100% VG juice and i've been smoking mine all day and refilled once and the taste is perfection start to finish. Saying this is incredible for me because normally, I fill a BOGE or a Kanger (all volts ive tried) and they are OK for a fill or two but quickly become a dirty ish taste for me.

One warning, you will have to absolute LOVE the flavour of the juice you use because it is so vibrant and very un-muted. Almost as if you licked the juice straight out of the bottle, the vapour is so creamy and thick! But not a problem for my gorilla juice fortunately :)

Try them, I am so glad i've found them

I've been hesitant to pick up any of those ce2s. I've been stuck with cartomizers, single coil, and i love those. I loved my ego-t for a while, but they are terrible for me imo.

Once you've tried a cartomizer with no filling, you won't want to go back. Once you open a cartomizer and see the burn marks and other gunk, you might not want to go back either. What's terrible? Your ego-t?

Don't sweat the single coil. Unless you're vaping over 4 volts all the time, I think they're kind of overrated. I'll take the single coil, no fill carto anytime. I got off of regular cartos a long time ago and was just dripping for ages. These new cartomizers are the next best thing without the hassle of dripping all the time.

To answer Sarah's original question. The CE2's got a lot of hate, especially the older versions for a lot of reasons. They leaked. They didn't wick right. The plastic tubes had a lot of problems with cracking. I still think they are susceptible to cracking with certain juices, specifically high acid juice, like citrus, and cinnamon. People had to do mods to them, removing the inner seals, fluffing the wicks, etc. Some people were replacing the tubes with a tube cut from a 3ml BD syringe. Evidently, they've solved most of these problems well enough that the hate has cooled down a lot from what it was. At least they didn't get run out of the market like they CE3's.

Kingvapes.com has ce2s and ce3s.

Thanks for that link. The manufacturer has discontinued the CE3s, so a lot of places are permanently out of stock. I found one vendor that still has them, but at only $9/box they're clearing them out as well. Worse yet, they only have clear ones. I'd love to find colored ones for the same price, but at $9 compared to $13 or $14, I'll put up with the clear ones until they run out for good. Maybe by then, the colored ones will come down too. So, everybody, as long as their discontinued, might as well keep up the hate!! If I'm the last person on earth who likes them, all the better for me :)

Im with you Sarah!! I have been using CE2s for a while now and i absolutely love them. Which kind of sucks because i want to use a tank but i dont know if that would work. I use gorilla juice a lot too and you will probably notice that after about 3-5 days the vapor goes down a little bit, the flavor is a little more muted, the draw a little tougher. I soak them to get all the gunk out and reuse them several times.

Also i dont know where you bought yours but i have bought them from all over the place and ecigexpress has really cool colors but the ones i got do crack after a while at the top and bottom. Also the plastic tends to come loose at the bottom. The ones from Totally wicked and the fluxomizers have a different sort of plastic and they do not crack at all and i havent had them come loose either.

Have you tried that Vision Stone tank thing? It's a CE2 at heart, and looks solidly built. I for one, after trying Fluxomizers, will be hard pressed to give CE2s another chance any time soon, but if I learned anything here is that vaping bliss a matter of individual preference. What works for me may not work for others at all and viceversa...

The vision stone was out of stock as of Saturday anyway. I considered that, but figured I'd try the Vision Grande instead to find out how that whole top coil concept works with thicker juices. The vision grande has 4 wicks, so hopefully, it'll work with 80% VG. I also ordered some of their own juice as a fallback position if thin juice is needed. They're supposed to be getting improved, re-innardable vision stones as well as new redesigned fluxomizers before too long. If the vision grande works with thick juice, I'll be trying those out. I'm just blown away with how much better juice tastes with no filler. I was getting tired of the mess and hassle of dripping.

I don't know about the flavor. I really wished it to be better, but I had horrible wicking issues with Fluxos... And, yeah, as dirty as it sounds, I did fluff my wick :)

Anyway, now I have the itch to try the ... uhmm... Ego Vision / Stardust (?CE4). It looks really nice. My only gripe with it is that it doesn't seem I'll be able to open it up and wash the juice out, so one advantage of filler-less is out :(

Have you tried the CE3's? The coil is on the bottom, so no wicking issues even with thick juice. I've heard complaints that they can't be cleaned because the wick can't be threaded back into the tube. Lie. I just did it last night, easily. I've heard stories about leaking. Wrong. I've been using mine for a week with no leaks, even after cleaning. I've heard stories about leaking as they're filled. Dumb. You have to put a condom on the bottom end until you plug the filler hole. I think they're great and the cleanest taste that rivals dripping. There's no plastic cap for the coil to heat up and make a bad taste like can happen with the CE2. The juice is clean with no burnt taste, right to the end. And I've not heard of the tube cracking issues with these either.

I love them as well, although they do have wicking problems... Which leads me to other problems. I used the o-ring flip mod, and i generally vape at an upward angle to help the wicking issues. This leads to the same problems as dripping... Wasted juice falling down the tube and getting on my batt connector. This is even worse now cause I have a provari. >_<

I will say, I have not "fluffed" the wick aside from with my fingers after taking the tube off. That may help, but I use 50/50 and 75/50 vg/pg mix from the vapor room, and it just feels like they don't wick properly at all. A fresh fill will work for, say, 10 pulls, then it gets low enough that the wicking sucks. Any ideas? (Got the black seal fluxo's from gotvapes)

Since the coils at the top, shouldn't you be vape at a downward angle instead of upward? This is my concern about even trying fluxomizers or CE2's because I use 80% VG. If you're having wicking problems at 50%, I'll have huge problems.
The new fluxomizer "Supreme" that's supposed to show up at Gotvapes addresses some of the problems that have been reported, including an improved white seal. But I don't recall them announcing any big wicking breakthroughs.

I can never get ce2's to work correctly with thick juice. And it sucks, because GJ is one of my faves. I find that after a fill or two I get a bunch of thick dark colored fluid building up that will not wick. I don't know if it's me or maybe I should try some new ce2's. I do find that a slotted carto in a tank works great.
