So I was just looking around and I came across this RoyalSmokers electronic cigarette factory in Shenzhen They are factory made see through CE2 Cartos. Now I havent been overly fond of the CE2 cartos themselves and I've actually done a few syringe mods but this could change the whole game. Does anyone know if the outside diameter of these would allow an ego cone to fit over them? Who do you think will be the first Canadian vendor to jump on this one?

I can't slide these down through the cone on my eGo, but it's only the base that is a hair too wide. I have to unscrew the cone, put the carto on, then put the cone on. Others say they can do it without, but all 15 that I have gotten won't work with either of my eGo cones. FWIW GotVapes and Volcano have clear CE2s also. Volcano is saying rev5, but I don't know why . . . that has been cleared up elsewhere in the forum. They are just rev4s with clear tubing.

Do these "r5"s still need to be washed and dried and dry burned and everything? or are they good to go?

There are a lot of variables and opinions about them. You can read through the following threads, but they are very long, so you might want to track backwards, or just hit towards the end. :)

BTW, these threads have posts by the people that helped to create them, so they have good info . . . a lot of fluff too, but really good info and vids.

I'm curious too, but after reading that huge thread about them, looks like they are high maintenance. I think I'll pass for now.

I can relate, I have the SS C-E2's and like them allot, will get some of the clearomizers eventually but will have to wait till I clear some of my current stock up. They do need some maintenance to keep them running good, but I still prefer them to atties.

So I ordered some of these with my first Vapors Kitchen order. Filled all but one and vaped on them and I completely understand the mixed reviews. I haven't tried anything but these standard size r5 clearomizers, just for clarification.

Burned Taste - I haven't had a problem with this common issue, and the internal wick seems to be dry in the package. I think this problem is related to the wicking being compressed down by the inner seal as suggested by another few youtube reviewers I have seen. It is best to remove the mouthpiece, inner ring (which did not come in these clearomizers from VK) and the inner seal so that you can "fluff" the wicking to allow better juice absorption.

Here is a good video for an in-depth look -

Throat Hit - Not so much on these ones for me. I know I received the 2.8-3.0 ohm versions but I'm not sure if I should chance them at 6 volts lol.

Clear Tubing - A little brittle for my liking. It seems that these would crack unless you use the rubber tip or the stock mouthpiece that is included.

Basically I think these clearomizers would be nicer in the XL version but work just fine as is most of the time. Factory build quality is the issue here and with a little messing around you can get a clearomizer to work very well. Tons of vapor, mild throat hit and tons of flavor.

Ok guys verdict time on these clearomizers.

These cartos are a good idea but I officially cracked one of them and have no clue how it even happened. I am not very rough with my devices or atties and it still managed to crack somehow???

If I managed to do this, then anyone can. I think it is a real drag that these cartos need yet another revision to make them fully functional. Honestly, I would spend your money on some pre-cut XL steel CE2 R5's and a MAP tank for the seasoned pros out there and the eGo-T for newbies.
