I've got these: 510 XL CLEAROMIZER 2.4-2.6 OHM
and currently using them on a eGo (Provari is on the way).

Is it normal for the part of the wick that goes though the coil to turn black right away? I've cleaned them to spec from instructions a couple of times and after I take a couple of drags the wick is black around the coil, shortly after that I get a funny taste.

Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong! I love the amount of vaper these produce, but I'm not sure what is going on. The juice is 60/40 VG/PG. It doesn't really appear to be a wicking issue since I don't really lose any vapor production. As a side note I have some lower VG liquid coming (hopefully here tomorrow).

Thank you,
Riggs-

I was using some Lemon juice from VaporBomb, it's completely clear. The wick turned black after a couple of drags. I cleaned it all out and dry burned it for around 10 seconds the wick turned white again, and everything was fine. Filled it back up again, same thing happened.

I have a feeling that it might just be that particular juice? I have some more coming (hopefully today), and I'll try again.

Thanks,

In my experience the wick will always tun black. Sooner with some juices later with others. You can take out all of the rings and try dripping. If the bad taste goes away while dripping it's most likely a wicking problem.

Alright. Seems to be the Lemon juice that I was using. It was 60vg/40pg but seems to be very thick compared to the new juices I got. It's weird as it seems much thicker than the 40vp/60pg juice that I got.

In the end, it was a wicking issue, but seems to be attributed to the weirdly thick juice I was using. It's been working great on three other juices I got the other day.

Thanks for the help guys,

It might have something to do with citrus flavors. I've got some VR Florida Citrus Explosion, it leaves a very dark residue in attys, cartos and CE2's. Maybe oil based flavoring or something. The juice is very clear and thin to start out.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I've been using Vanilla 40/60 vg/pg and VaporBomb's new cream soda 70/30 vg/pg and they both work great in the CE2. Must just be the flavoring.

I don't really think filling them is that big of a deal. IMHO it's better than the filler type cartos because you don't have to wait for the juice to seep down through the filler. Then again that's just my opinion. I can fill up 3 in the morning and be set for the day, and if not the three will last me well though the work period.

I was the same for a few months, but after a while they become a tour to refill each and everyday, knowing that a redesign can solve that problem.

Combining all three seals into one seal may help, but we will never know since the CE3's are the focus now.

It could be much easier. The reason I probably don't mind it at all is the fact that I'm diabetic, so I'm use to drawing liquid(insulin) up and administering it 4 or 5 times a day.

Ah I didn't know that was the case.

I was refilling them straight from the bottle by removing all three seals which resulted in many broken inner seals and a lot of guess work as to when they were full.

I use the G4's and G5's now which don't perform quite as well as the CE2's, but they are very easy to refill.
