Well I know the old style Coleman wicks are fabric so they wouldn't work because they would burn but if Coleman sold silica, fiberglass or ceramic wicks they might work..thanks for the suggestion :)

have you thought of looking at wicks for Coleman gas lanterns ?? just a thought

there not all treated, however if your buying fiberglass or XC-116 wick you should torch it first anyways just to burn off any particles, this is very good for certain set ups as well, or even one or two small strands combined with the fiberglass CE2 wick = Nextel Braided Ceramic Very High Temperature Sleeving sometimes if you cut a small piece of this and just use a small single strand combined with the CE2 wick it makes for a nice set up, using this now in my Odysuess GG rebuild-able Atty

Yeah I've seen quite a few videos (even one comparing silica to fiberglass) as I usually search very well for things before asking and I searched quite a bit on google and here before posting this thread. I had hoped I would find a reputable USA ecig supplier that sold/has them in stock them but I still haven't found any yet. It seems if one of the suppliers on this forum supplied them they would probably sell pretty good too if priced reasonable.

I have a BernzOmatic ST250K Micro Torch Kit and planned on testing them before using..plus I probably would burn off any wick I bought anyways..thanks :)

Try this.. It's similar to the other mc master link, but it's ceramic instead of fiberglass.. Not sure exactly whats the difference, but it freaks me out about it being a fiberglass, where you're actually inhaling into it.

McMaster-Carr

I've seen them..the part where it says "Seals resist alkalies, water, steam, detergents..." makes me think it's treated possibly and in any case if they resist things they probably wouldn't make good wicks..I see they sell loosly braided ones they might work.

I'm just hoping MadVapes (the supplier I use) will carry some (don't care if it's the thicker ones or thin) as I've put in a request on there boards or at least some other decent US ecig supplier on these forums. I can order them from China but would prefer to just order them in the US really. Thanks for the link :)

You might want to look check this out ...

Heaven-Gifts: 5x atomizer glassfibre wick

Yeah that's a China supplier..I emailed them to see how much shipping would be last week..got an auto response and said they would email me this week. Another worry is ordering from China can take weeks..under there shipping it says it can take 40 days to get here...

IIRC shipping to NZ was $3US and took around three weeks from order placement.

It is weight based so would cost less if on the wick was ordered.

Problem is I want to know the estimated shipping cost up front before giving them any of my info..New Zealand is a lot closer than Western New York. If it's cheap enough I probably would buy a few packs and have a lifetime supply as they are 5-1mm x 1000mm for $3.

Really I'm surprised I just can't buy a roll with meters or yards on it through a US ecig supplier..maybe I will find some at a hardware store though as I haven't had the chance to look yet. When/if I get some I'll post about it here..thanks for the replies :)

Chrisy i just checked cloud of vapor and there still out of stock .
They have a notify me button to click or you can email mail them and see when they expect them to be in.
Best Luck

I've got it bookmarked and will just check from time to time..hopefully MadVapes will decide to carry it..whoever does carry it at a reasonable amount and keep it in stock probably could sell a lot of it..there have been tons of posts asking about wicks on these forums..I found more than 5 without searching too hard...

Where can I get CE2 wicks for rebuilding my CE2? I mean the same material wicks they come with..I already am rebuilding them sometimes and using parts from them to make custom atomizers for dripping as I have around 30' of NiChrome wire. I found after some pratice they are really easy for me to rebuild but the wicks don't last forever..they tend to fray and break so I would like to find a inexpencive replacement.

I know I can buy new CE2's cheap but this saves me a little money,I like to tinker with things anyways and there is no wait when I need a new one I can put one together in 10mins. Plus I only order from MadVapes at the present time and for now they have stopped carring them.
