ce2 xl 808 royal smokers- am i doing something wrong?

The first clearomizers i've tried have been the new 1ml 808 kanger clearomizers, and these ce2 xl from royal, (Both in my order from healthcabin.)

I;m using the smokeless image 78mm batteries, and on my manual, i feel like the draw is super tight, and produces less vapor then my plain old volt cartos. The Kanger 1ml however, is produces tons of vapor and feels warm. I've read lots of good reviews for these ce2 xl's and i would rather use them as they fit the profile of my device, but i'm so underwhelmed, so i figured id ask.

Am i missing something? Could the thing itself be bunk or do i need to do something specific to it to make it work better?

(keep in mind, i am a big novice with vaping so... try not to go over my head. =-/ )

I still don't honestly even know if these are top or bottom coil. There is a wire running from head to toe in them, along with a wick.
